  • Excerpt: My mom bought me an Acer Aspire one Running Linpus Linux yesterday. For those not in the know, the Aspire one is a netbook. I find it a very convenient device - it’s very light, meaning that I can carry it anywhere I want to go and I don’t have …

  • Excerpt: My mom went to California last summer and she asked me what I wanted. I just told her that she could bring home anything. I was very surprised when she got home because she handed me a very sleek and thin Acer Aspire One Netbook in maroon which is …

Acer Aspire one netbook

Michael Walsh, ReviewStream

  • Excerpt: I bought this netbook because I wanted something small and portable to take with me when travling like on the train or coach. It’s really quite good and very light. The screen is a perfect size, small but big enough to see things clearly and without scrolling much. The …

Don't Like it On a Train or in the Rain

  • Summary: Comments about Acer Aspire One A110-1295 Notebook: The salesman told me to connect it to an external drive for added storage. What!!!??? That defeats the whole purpose. For plane trips it's a great size. But that storage capacity is going to need to be larger before this becomes useful.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight

  • Summary: Comments about Acer Aspire One A110-1295 Notebook: Very sleek looking notebook. [...] easy to set up, works exceptional well, and quality is super. It’s very compact but does not cram everything together on the screen, the screen size is also just the perfect size.
  • Pros: Adequate Storage, Durable Construction, Easy To Use, Fast, Large Screen, Lightweight

Not really worth the money

  • Excerpt: I bought this netbook not really knowing what I was getting myself into. Unfortunatley I didn't 100% know what I was getting myself into. I didn't realise that it was a different operating system, and when I found it to be Linux I was rather annoyed.
  • Pros: light, "Can be found cheap"
  • Cons: "not worth the price", linux, slow

Worst purchase I ever made from Amazon

Shaz RM, Amazon
16 October 2014
  • Summary: This item is terrible. I can't believe I didn't return it. I didn't expect it to be the fastest netbook in the world, but it's so slow it's actually not usable. Facebook for example will not load at all- I cannot view messages or basic screens. Error messages simply appear.

A great little device for it's age and price.

  • Excerpt: This netbook is not a laptop. It won''t be the fastest machine you''ve every used, nor will it be able to process as much as a proper laptop or modern tablet can. It is, however, brilliant for its price and for its size.
  • Pros: "Does its job", Durable, "Very light"
  • Cons: "Not very powerful", "Can be slow", "Screen very small", "Poor Battery Life"
