Summary: It seems like lots of people are bashing this computer, and I'll admit that I was frustrated at first. I have been using netbooks for years and I LOVE them, and I am sad to see that they're being discontinued as a whole.
Summary: If you're like most and think you'll just drop in an SSD, be aware that Acer wants $20 extra to purchase their installation media. The recovery process they have inside Windows 8 does not create a USB stick/drive capable of creating a bootable install on a fresh drive.

Summary: Great format. A harp screen with enough brightness to be visible in daylight. The keyboard is responsive and the keys well spaced. Love the mouse control, but the best part are the external connections from USD to SD cards to TV cable, etc. I move a lot and I always bring this computer with me.
Summary: It's a slick little machine that's perfect for travel. No speed demon mind you, but if you get rid of the superfluous programs it mitigates the problem somewhat. You can also upgrade to 4 GB of RAM to rev it up some. I like the red color and got used to Windows 8 in no time. Set up is a breeze.
Summary: Many complain about Windows 8....I have no issues with the OS, just takes an open-mind, and a little bit of time to learn. My biggest complaint is the processor..SLOW. For searching the web,FB....Etc, it`s fine. For heavy computing, I use my beefier Acer.
Summary: I would probably give it 4 1/2 stars if I could. Windows 8 takes a little bit of getting use to, but I don't see getting quite as excited about it as many people have. The machine itself I have only one complaint about - when CAPS LOCK is engaged, there is no light that lets you know it's on.
Summary: I got this for my husband after he stepped on his old laptop and ruined it (way to go, husband). This one works pretty well, and even though I'm typing this from my Mac and love Macs way more, I have become quite fond of how quick the Acer boots (like one second, literally), how portable it is, and...
