It is very good for that purpose

Summary: Use it still, after owning it for over 2 years, mostly for streaming tv shows and movies from the internet. It is very good for that purpose. Has a good video card. All I did was upgraded the ram memory (found an 8gb replacement, but 4gb would have been enough).
Summary: It seems like lots of people are bashing this computer, and I'll admit that I was frustrated at first. I have been using netbooks for years and I LOVE them, and I am sad to see that they're being discontinued as a whole.
Summary: If you're like most and think you'll just drop in an SSD, be aware that Acer wants $20 extra to purchase their installation media. The recovery process they have inside Windows 8 does not create a USB stick/drive capable of creating a bootable install on a fresh drive.
Stylish, responsive and versatile. Best tool for the mobile excec.

Summary: Great format. A harp screen with enough brightness to be visible in daylight. The keyboard is responsive and the keys well spaced. Love the mouse control, but the best part are the external connections from USD to SD cards to TV cable, etc. I move a lot and I always bring this computer with me.
Summary: This netbook was a superior value when I purchased it a year ago ($250). Shortly thereafter, I dropped a 64GB Samsung 830 SSD into it for $60, and I can now be on the desktop in Windows 7 in 14-15 seconds. Note: the SSD got 5 stars, but this laptop gets a 4 for flimsy design.
Summary: It's a slick little machine that's perfect for travel. No speed demon mind you, but if you get rid of the superfluous programs it mitigates the problem somewhat. You can also upgrade to 4 GB of RAM to rev it up some. I like the red color and got used to Windows 8 in no time. Set up is a breeze.
Summary: I got this for my husband after he stepped on his old laptop and ruined it (way to go, husband). This one works pretty well, and even though I'm typing this from my Mac and love Macs way more, I have become quite fond of how quick the Acer boots (like one second, literally), how portable it is, and...
Summary: this laptop is only a 1.0 dual core AMD c-70 processor but even with just 2 gb of ram, it runs pretty good. Product details said it will only goto 4 gb of ram, that's not so....it will goto 8gb of ram and it said it was 10600 MHz ram when its really 12800 MHz ram!
Summary: Got refurbished for under 240 including tax and s/h. Has full windows, great computer for the price. Would suggest to anyone who wants windows office and can't make the jump to google chrome book
