It's an ok system.

Summary: While it's been wroking ok I could wish that they would have given a choice of os's on this. That's the biggest drawback. Not a high end unit but if it meets your needs it could be worthwhile.
Summary: The only reason I bought this was because I needed a computer for my desk at work, and I wanted something cheap and simple that could run the internet and Microsoft Office. This laptop gave me a headache trying to set Office up because it doesn't run very fast, especially with the internet. Since there's no disk drive, you have to download Office products offline, which can take 6-8 hours.
Summary: Bought this for my wife, mainly to browser the web. I spent about 2 hours removing all the bloatware and afterwards was still shocked at how slow the machine runs. Every once in a while it will process at acceptable speeds but for the most part I find myself having to wait 5-8 seconds just to open a new browser tab. Would not choose this computer again. Follow up: Now after 3 months of use the lagging didn't get better.
Summary: I had previously a Dell, but as usual the cooling system quit working and it fried the computer. I needed a computer fast to continue my college classes. I somehow ended up picking up this one. I'd suggest getting a different one though. If I had more time to research I would've got something else! Sluggish, many errors straight out the box.
Summary: I bought this laptop on a budget for lesson planning. When I received the item it was small and sleek as described. I was very impressed at how lightweight the product was; however, the keyboard was a little too cramped for my style. I found the touchpad hyper sensitive and was bothered by the fact that I couldn't figure out how to turn it off. To get around this issue, I consistently plugged in a mouse to make sure that I didn't accidentally open up a new window.
Summary: I bought this for a friend. It's a pretty good price, but it seemed rather sluggish performing basic Windows 8 functions. Maybe this is because Windows 8 shouldn't be on such a slow machine. I have a suspicion that Windows 7 would perform much faster. But considering the price, I guess one shouldn't expect too much.
Summary: With respect to design, form factor, weight, and the number of ports, this computer is excellent. Very easy to carry and has enough ports for everyday use. But when it comes to performance, the computer stutters and exhibits very irritating lag. It is slow and very weak in its ability to multitask. As much as I like aesthetics, it's hard for me to rate this computer high when it fumbles on the most important reason for buying a computer.
Summary: I have always been impressed with Acer computers. I have a netbook that I have used constantly for 3 years and it is time to replace it. I ordered this netbook and was very excited when it arrived to set it up and start using Windows 8. Unfortunately the netbook had some issues that Acer's technical staff could not even help me with so I returned it. Don't base your decision on my review. I still have confidence in Acer products and I am looking to purchase another one.
Summary: I like the color and the keyboard. Otherwise, this thing will not connect to wireless networks like it should. It freezes, it shuts down, it is slow, it just frustrates me to death... Expected a little better for my $$$.
