slow but usable

Summary: Screen is good, computer seems under powered for a dual core. For whatever reason would not accept a 4gb stick of memory- kept crashing and stating memory error, under 2 runs pretty consistently.
Power miser cpu & it's 4G ram has pleanty of oomph! Battery lasts & lasts!

Summary: Aspire One AO722-0418, a terrific little Acer. It's made very well. Big 500Gb hard drive. It's nice sized screen is clear & bright. Nice feel to the keyboard and touchpad. Has awesome performance for a low-key machine. The slower 1Ghz AMD dual-core processor is a power-miser but when needed, its turbo kicks-in providing another third-gigahertz of speed. So, with it's 4Gb of memory, it performs really well for most uses like video streaming and web surfing.
Summary: Comfortable size to walk with in field. Specification is not suitable for high loading task such as graphics or design related works. Can be one of the good ones for students who need to take the notebook to college and work with some simple applications as as Office applications, Internet. Body is not Solid, need to take care.
Summary: 10 Days longer than the 1 year warranty. Now all it does is make a clicking noise while bouncing back and forth from running the repair thing, to trying to start, to back to the repair thing, then back to trying to restart making clicking sounds the whole time. Now I'm looking at this refurbished one here and thinking I'm not the only one who got a bad brand new one and if the brand new one's only last a year, how long can the refurbished really be good for?
Summary: I bought this specifically for travel -- both for internet and email access and as a backup device for digital photographs. Turns out I use it a good deal for writing also. Since I do not like touch screens and am an excellent touch typist, it is a perfect fit for my needs -- much better than a tablet. The screen is crisp and clear, the battery life is better than I expected.
Summary: This is a NOTEBOOK not a full fledged laptop. I have read many of the negative reviews and I think the users were not use to small notebooks. My only complaint that I will soon fix is that it needs 4GB of memory, 2GB is really pushing the performance envelope. Since I have the 64 bit version of Windows 7 I may just go to 8gb. I get about 3 hours of battery life out of the stock battery (about what is to be expected).
Summary: I bought this for my grandkids so they would stay off my PC. The windows program doesn't support a printer or other plug-n-play apps! VERY SLOW!! I use a walker, but have time to get to7from bath room while using.
Summary: Those that are looking for a powerful laptop should look elsewhere. This is a large netbook which is great for taking to school or using on the road without lugging around a 15-17" laptop. The battery does not quite last as long as stated in the specs, but I get about 6 hours out of it. If you want portability, this is a great little addition. As the price suggests, this is a budget netbook.
