Summary: I bought this computer last week as it jumped out as having decent specs with a reasonable price. I have no major complaints thusfar and don't plan on returning it. However - I wanted to document this in a review since I think it is crazy - in Windows 8, the touchpad works, by default, as a tablet scroll.
Summary: So, this is all context of the price paid and what you can get it for. The good: pretty much everything. The laptop looked just pretty average, but felt really nice - well constructed. The keyboard was GREAT to type on. And with the backlit keyboard on - it looked awesome (but I kept it off for the most part). Out of the box, the touchpad was awful, but after updating the touchpad drivers, it worked a lot better (not perfect, but better).
Summary: Really like this computer. I bought it refurbished for about half of the new price. I had an issue with the seller, but it got resolved in a successful manner. I am very happy with the computer. The touchscreen is good and the back-lit keys are good. Having a CD drive is very convenient, as are the two USB 3 ports in the back. The one part that really lets this computer down is the touch pad.
Summary: Overall I really like this laptop. Pros: - back lit keyboard - touch screen - fast, responsive, solid performance, can even do some gaming (Civ V runs surprisingly well at medium settings) - well priced, especially if you can find one of the refurbs Cons: - touch pad is not always accurate or responsive - screen resolution could be better, 1600x900 would have been really nice - could be somewhat lighter - as with all ultrabooks, can be very difficult to upgrade (I was...
Great laptop so far - purchased about a month ago.

Summary: So far I am really enjoying my Acer. Battery life is great, love the backlit keyboard. Originally purchased a Sony which had a higher resolution, but hated how dirty the laptop looked due to finger prints, this laptop doesn't have that issue at all. Also hated with the Sony that to page up and page down you had to use the function key. One bad thing I found with my Acer is when I charged it plugged into a regular wall outlet the power adapter got extremely hot.
Summary: This Acer Ultrabook works quite well, it is thin and light, looks good (the brushed grey metallic finish is attractive), and has some nice features, including a backlit keyboard and a hybrid SSD/HDD that makes it feel like a much more powerful machine. The unit I got has 6GB of memory, a 20GB SSD/500GB HDD combo, DVD burner and 1366x768 display. It is absolutly quiet. I hear no noise from either the fan or the hard drive. It boots up very quickly from sleep mode..
