Summary: Buy it. Get the extended warranty too. Laptops are proprietary which makes the parts expensive. Spend the money up front and have no worries about it breaking.
Pros: I bought this for a client. It's very fast and does everything a laptop should. Cleaned up some of the O.E. installed software, installed Office, AVG & Malware Bytes. I am an I.T. professional and I always look for great deals for my clients. This is one of them.
Cons: Price has gone up since I purchased it in November. Still a good deal.
Summary: This is a great little computer for the price. I've looked at many brands, including HP & Dell, and as/of this review, no-one came close to matching it on a price-per-spec basis. Dose it have a disk-drive? No, but it doesn't say that it dose in its list of features. Disk-drive are on there way out and in the future, we'll see more and more pc's without them. You can buy an external-drive pretty inexpensive these days if you need one to install old software or games.
Summary: Firstly, I HATE laptops. My first computer was a laptop and when I upgraded to a desktop it was a enlightening experience! I was moving out of state and decided that I would have to get one until I got established. This computer was extremely easy to set-up, as most are, the screen is very clear and bright.
Summary: So far so good. The computer is sleek black and bold. My girlfriend has the Sony Vios, but every since I have gotten my Acer she can not leave it alone. However fresh out of the box you may have problems connecting to WiFi. The solution is simple; right click on the wifi connection logo on the bottom right side of the screen and adjust the advanced settings. Also go to Intel.com and download all of the new updates for your acer. It takes a few minutes.
Summary: It did just what it was supposed to. Not too many bells and whistles, but just an easy to use computer. The initial startup was a snap, and I'm not a computer buff, but more a computer dunce. So I was impressed. So far I have had no issues with it except a little glitch with my internet provider. I'm impressed.
Summary: This was bought as a replacement for an aging desktop computer for my wife. Unlike other manufacturers' laptops such as HP's, Acer's can be bought with Windows 7 installed instead of Windows 8, which meant there have been few problems for her to make a seamless transition to the new machine. It easily installed on our wi-fi network and does an excellent job.
