Summary: I've had my Aspire for over three months now and can say that, as expected, I'm liking it a lot. It's more of a basic laptop, which is just what I was looking for and, it just so happened that my sister was 'in the market' for a replacement laptop too, so she bought the same model.
Summary: I bought this laptop to replace one that was dying. I basically needed it to connect to the internet and run MS Office software. It works beautifully. The only complaint I have is the speakers. They work fine but sometimes it's difficult to hear them, even with the volume all the way up. Definitely a good buy for a cheap laptop though.
Summary: I bought this notebook for my wife for Christmas. It arrived as scheduled and my wife really likes the display quality and how lightweight it is to carry around. I like the fact that it was shipped with Windows 7 instead of 8.
Summary: I purchased the Acer as a non-Windows 8 for basic home use. With phones and Chromebooks and Tablets, we only needed something for the occasional document or spreadsheet. It works, does what it is supposed to for the price.
Summary: Laptop is very good value for the price: light, durable, doesn't feel cheap at all, has better battery life than my last laptop, and a good sturdy connection for the power cord where it doesn't fall out. Only docking points due to integrated graphics card and strange screen resolution, otherwise a pretty good little laptop. Don't use this for gaming/graphics and you should be good.
Summary: After finally getting this laptop, and having my youngest son set it up for me, I am very pleased with it. No issues so far. This was a christmas gift to my fiancee as her old laptop was litteraly falling apart. The screen is huge which she really likes. The only downside according to my son was that it took most of an evening to get all the stuff off of it that comes with the unit.
Summary: We bought two of these computers primarily because it runs Windows 7. We refuse to use 8 and 7 is fast becoming hard to find. One was for our daughter and the other replaces our 6 year old Dell. I shouldn't say "replace" as I am using it and my husband has taken possession of the new Acer. He loves It! The picture is fantastic and it has all the features he wanted.
