Pros: Has just the right combination of specs. I'm just thankful that Acer (one of a small number of mfgs that) didn't go exclusively Windows 8 (which makes Vista look magnificent) and still offers new models with Windows 7 (the best OS MS has released to date). Not all of us live on Facebook and Twitter and actually need to get actual work done. Kudos Acer!
Cons: Not much. I usually replace the stock 5400RPM drive with a WD Black 7200RPM anyway, and double the RAM, but sheesh we could have used a little more clock speed. But really, with the upgrades, it does a very good job!
Summary: the wifi connection dropped itself sometimes, so I used an wifi receiver and had ethernet wire plugged in instead to get internet connection, other than that I didn't have difficulties/issues so far...
Summary: Great laptop for just $400. Everything (youtube, pandora, gaming) all runs smoothly, even when ran at the same time. However, the battery drains a little quickly, but if you plan out your usage with when you'll have an available power outlet it's not a problem.
Summary: It's a really nice computer for the price. It boots up and loads fast. The LED display is terrific. The color is clean, crisp, and clear...very natural. I also love that it didn't come loaded with Windows 8, but with Windows 7, which is a much more stable Operating System. I like the wide screen, too. It's great for streaming video and the HDMI connection allows me to play movies through my HD television. I would have liked more than three USB ports, though.
Summary: Works as advertised. However, I needed a couple of laptops due to rattling parts inside the unit or and an inability to start-up. Lightweight, could use a enhanced battery life. DVD is not necessary for my needs. Lots of unneeded junk SW that needed to be uninstalled.
