Summary: This laptop arrived with a defective touchpad and several hours worth of troubleshooting revealed hardware issues requiring a return for repair; however, acer refused to authorize a pickup, insisting that I drive 30 miles to the nearest fedex office ("we can't be responsible for where you choose to live") and refusing to mail a return label, saying their policy only allows email. Let's see--computer doesn't work so they will email a label I can't print.
Summary: I really love Windows 7 and purchased this laptop for this reason. When I received it the battery showed 55% and charging which it never did. Every week it would be a lower amount. I have never used it without being plugged in. I wrote the company several weeks ago and no response and it was still within the warranty period. I would give them an F for customer service. I like the laptop but what good is it if you can't take it on the go.....

Summary: Laptop lacked all programs to run as a computer. Purchased new Windows 7 and other programs to enable computer to work properly. Still didn't work properly. After speaking with staff, they offered a discount of sale price. After speaking with someone who knew something, they advised to send the computer back. Packaged up laptop and returlned it. Sorry I ever attempted to purchase a laptop in the first place. Very discouraging experience.
Summary: I've had this computer for six months. It has slowed down to a crawl. The battery won't charge and the power cable won't stay plunged in. Also, very hard to type on because the keys are too big. I'm going to order a different brand to replace this one. The only good thing is that it has Windows 7.
Summary: I used this laptop at home for light use. It was great for surfing the net but the battery charger it came with was extremely hot when in use. It just stopped working completely just shy of 3 months in use.
Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS LAPTOP! It is terrible. You can only have one window open or it locks up. One evening the keyboard decided not to work. I have had to unplug the computer to run the battery down to shut it off to reboot. Basically, this computer is a piece of junk. I took this laptop to my computer guru, he determined that it arrived with a nasty virus. It took him hours to fix so I spent more money getting it fixed than I did on the initial purchase.
Summary: This laptop worked well for about a week then, the screen would start to flicker and it would put itself into some sort of sleep mode and wouldn't reboot. I have returned this unit for a refund.
Summary: I'm a 26 year old new graduate student and I was looking for a good PC to use solely as my work computer in my office for classes and research. I wanted something with enough power to run some data analysis programs and have several programs of web windows open at one time without slowing down. I also wanted a PC that was portable but still full sized since it would be my everyday work computer and with a CD/DVD drive.
