Summary: Nice light weight powerful laptop. Easy set up and no problems so far. I am replacing my Dell D420 which has kind of died after 3 years use. I found others also complaining about it because of slow disk that once loaded slows to a crawl all of a sudden. I am definately 'there' and a bit annoyed with Dell over this situation. Recely bought Acer desktop Quad and it is super so natually bought their laptop and very pleased with everything about it so far.
Summary: I use this computer for presentations while teaching my students, utilizing iTunes and linking it with my iTouch, watching downloaded movies, online videos, email, and social networking. I have not played games with it, but I plan on trying it when I buy an external DVD player. This is a quality machine. The display is much better than the Toshiba that I bought 2 years ago. Also, I was concerned that this computer did not have a 2 core dual processor like my Toshiba.
Pros: Fast, Lightweight, Long Battery Life, Powerful, Quality Display, Quiet
Summary: This notebook is a perfect balance of mobility, battery life, and performance. If you are looking for a solid laptop with excellent battery life for regular daily use then this is the best I have found. It's not for heavy gaming, although it will play some games, and not for video editing, although it plays videos just fine. Battery life depends on usage.
Summary: I like to take and use the computer anywhere and everywhere. It's very thin and lightweight, has a long battery life, and is perfectly adequate for Office, Web and more. Very good deal compared to Sony and Apple. Sound is low, and mouse click a little hard.
Pros: Lightweight, Long Battery Life, Quality Display, Quiet
Cons: Mouseclick a little hard, Sound volume is low
Summary: Since I am a college student, I just needed a laptop that I could take to class or just on campus to do homework, but wanted it with a little more power to run many programs. Size for me was on the top of my preferences for a new laptop, so this very skinny 13inch laptop was the perfect size. After that, I also wanted something fast enough to handle running multiple programs running at the same time, so I decided on a Core 2 Duo.
Summary: - This laptop is very light with bigger size of screen than other same heavy laptops. - Definetely longer battery life. I don't have to carry the charge to the library again. - The SU9400 cpu is fast enough to run Vista. Not to mention the later windows 7 I'm going to update to. - It's more beautiful than I thought. - Very Cheap! Conclusion: It's your best choice for laptops if you will carry your laptop all the time.
Pros: Comfortable Keyboard, Fast, Lightweight, Long Battery Life, Quiet
Summary: It blends power and portability. I have a Dell 17" which I gave to my daughter. This has 2 MB of RAM expandable to 4. Fast, light and a wonderful battery life. I can leave the house in the morning, use it on the bus, go to class, and take the bus home. Way over 6 hours of battery. Incredible.
Pros: Fast, Lightweight, Long Battery Life, Powerful
