Summary: I simply like the way it performs in general since its one I can also relay on to come through when my other one would not at all achieve the same goal this one would. Time is an essence to me personally.
Summary: I have an Acer Aspire 5672 (also from B&H) but when I found this multimedia 'beast', I couldn't resist getting it. I never knew a laptops can put out crispy sound until this one. If you want to see your images/video the way they should be seen, this is a winner. Until now, I thought Blue-Ray was a bluf but not any more. [...
Acer Aspire 8920G-6A3G25BN: Amazing multimedia laptop! Would recommend to anyone!
3 December 2011
Summary: I've had my Acer 8920G for 2 years now and I LOVE IT! I was recently offered the opportunity to upgrade to a macbook pro 13" and I decided against it to keep this laptop . The main features I love are the huge vibrant screen, I bought the laptop online and hadn't really thought about the size of it until it arrived and it's HUGE!
Pros: large screen, full HD, surround sound, big keyboard
Summary: Before starting uni I had never owned a laptop before, as I have always stuck to using a desktop PC when at home. After buying a laptop from PC world, and then receiving the Acer Aspire 8920G as a present a few months later - well I was spoilt for choice (and pretty amazed too). After getting it out of the box it had been sent to me in and opening up the lid, I was pretty speechless.
Pros: Amazing screen quality, great memory, fast processor
Cons: Not fantastic battery life, weighty and costly compared to other models
Excerpt: I have had this laptop for about 2 months now and I can not say anything bad about it. It is the best laptop I have had so far, I change my computer every year, as I like my gagets but I do not think I will part with this one so easy.
Acer Aspire 8920G-6A3G25BN: A high def 1080p multimedia laptop for around the house
27 November 2009
Summary: This Aspire machine is available at about £600 to £650 which puts it in the mid range of laptop prices but you get quite a bit of technology for your money. The 8920G model was designed with multimedia in mind, the large 18.4" screen when combined with a decent 3GB of ram and builtin graphics card allow for full HD playback in 1080p. This is a nice feature to have considering the laptop supports bluray discs as well.
Pros: Massive screen, supports bluray, the design and finish look superb, decent price
Cons: Battery life isn't as good as some rivals, a bit too big to be a portable solution
Excerpt: "I have had this laptop for a couple of months now, and have been very impressed so far. The picture quality through the 1080 screen is bright and vibrant, and the sound quality through it's 5.1 speakers is also loud. The only downfall with the sound is that i'm not convinced the sounds truely feel "surround", and at higher volumes can be a little distorted - but by no means am I saying the sound is no good! Obviously for a laptop this size it is ...
Pros: Big & bright screen, good sound, easy to use
Cons: not as light as some, higher sound volumes can be distorted
Excerpt: "I bought this laptop a few months ago and it is still fantastic. The 18.4 inch screen is mind boggling and the definition is done to perfection. For games, it can play I think, any game currently on the market. I play over 10 games without lag (not at the same time though). There is a full size keyboard built in which is helpful if you are used to desktops. There are 4 usb ports (2 on either side) so you can use lots of hardware at the same ...
Pros: good screen, full - size keyboard, blu - ray, 4 usb ports, large memory
