Summary: I bought this as a refurb and I love it. The screen is one of the biggest you can get and the high resolution is nice for my old eyes. It boots up fast (45 sec.) and shuts down in 10 seconds. I have not noticed any bugs in the hardware (unlike the Aspire 5336-2524 I also own (fan noise weirdness and screen singing at low brightness)). I use it more as a PC replacement, so I can't comment on the battery, but the size of it would make it a bit heavy to schlep around.
Summary: This is my first personal laptop and it has been a great purchase. I do a lot of photo editing and use it for Netflix this laptop has been able to handle everything I can throw at it without any problems. However I must add I paid $399 for mine around 8/2011 so I don't understand today's price.
Excerpt: Being a young student at college i needed something that was small, thin yet would get the job done. I write about 4 papers a week and do daily assignments for classes. I take my Acer net-book everywhere i go, classes, labs, and even to dinner. The keys fit my fingers like a glove and the screen is a perfect size. I can run 5 or more apps. and the computer doesn't freeze or overload. Even if you are looking for an Acer to just store pictures and music it is perfect.

Summary: Ive used Acers for many years since i got my first gigantic tower back in 1997 with a tower and printer for over 2200$!! Big money back then. That computer was put through the fire, moving several times, and actually after getting a laptop i put it out in a room to set, and the side was exposed(open). Cat hair, dampness, dust, static, you name it, it got inside it.
Excerpt: I ordered my Acer Aspire on Black Friday last year. I'm glad I did! I love it. The processor is very fast and it handles photos well. The only downside for me is that it's been hard to color correct the screen on it. This is most likely not an issue for an normal consumer, however I am a photographer and in order for me to be able to accurately edit images while on the road I need a screen that is correctly calibrated.
Summary: I bought mine at Walmart back in August 2010, and it runs like a champ. I use it for school, work and church ministry stuff. All my files are there even with the 250 gig internal drive and my external Free Agent Go drive by Seagate 320 gig. It has all the system specs as stated, the dual core Intel 1.86 GHZ P6000 processor. 3 gigs of ram. 17.3 LED HD screen. What I like about it, The battery last about 3.6 hours for using with out the power cord.
