Excerpt: I have owned many computers and laptops. I HATE this one. Vista is a nightmare. No tutorials on the display. The book is useless. The machine has a bluray player the book has no mention of it or how to connect it to your HDTV. this is one of the reasons I purchased it. Thinking about returning it
Excerpt: Purchased this laptop in January 2008, so far it is working well for my needs. It is much faster than the old Compac I replaced. I am trying to get use to the new windows Vista. The only thing I had a problem with is that the computer automaticly had an Acer advertisement loaded as the screen saver. It took me forever to realize it was a screen saver instead of a program that was running.
Excerpt: I decided to purchase a laptop since I had problems getting my wife and kids off their computers, it seemed that everyone had theirs but me. Well, we have to many PC's and I wanted something mobile, so I went looking for laptops. I searched high and low for one that was both within my price range and had what I wanted for a computer. I came across the ACER ASPIRE 7720-6569 and thought the price was right so I decided to purchase it on the spot.
Excerpt: we had done some researh before buying our laptop, and even though it did not have the pizzaz of some of the more known PC's, we went with friends opinions, and the fact that it was ranked in the top 3. We have been nothing but satisfied with our new lap top. The initial set up took minutes, and was completely idiot proof. The larger screen made the adjustment from our home computer to a laptop less obvious.
Excerpt: The one problem with it is that the graphics card is inadequate for virtually any new video games, and it’s very difficult to upgrade it. OVERALL If you’re looking for a fine computer, that’s good for work and basic gaming/internet use, this is a pretty good choice. It has a few problems, but they’re all fixable to my knowledge, and it works fine. Considering the price you can get it at it’s a great deal.
Excerpt: The other inconvenience people may find fault with, is the extra care needed when travelling with a laptop of this size. You need to get an extra big bag and lugging the laptop out of the bag to put through the airport scanners is also a mission with a thing of this size. That said though, I have taken the 7720G with me on trips to Dubai, South Africa, China and Bahrain with no regrets. Overall I would highly recommend this laptop.
Summary: Awesome machine, full of top features, great connectivity, speedy enough for my requirements, although the battery life could perform a bit better. Generally impressed with virtually all the facilities provided by Acer. Cost a blinding £399 inc delivery from a tv advert site i can't obviously plug/mention on here but so far just over a year old and certainly no plans to upgrade or replace!
Summary: I brought this item around 2 years ago from amazon. It was best laptop i had had. Recently the motherboard/graphics card has gone and will cost over £150 to fix, apparently it is a very common accurance with this model of laptop unfortunatly! So all in all i would say dont bother getting this one, find a better one that wont be a waste of money!
Summary: I have had this laptop for the past 3 years now and i have to say it has treated me well over the years. There has only been one problem i have faced and that is the battery, i am still using the original battery though after about a year it began to hold less and less charge til now where i get 5 minutes out of it if i am lucky. I do not see this as a very valid complaint compared to the specs and the price you would find it in the market for.
Summary: I bought this unit back in 2008. I have had to send it back to acer twice. First was the screen stoppped working. Faulty wiring. ... Then it over heats like a hot plate you could fry eggs on it. Sent it back for a new fan... still crashes and over heats. So I bought a chill mat... nope still ober heats..
