Excerpt: The laptop is a good price with great specs but the build quality is very poor and mine only lasted12 months before the hard disc drive failed. I could temporarily keep the screen picture by keeping the laptop open at strange angles but eventually after a few months the whole picture went. In common with most consumer PCs these days, no Windows installation media is included.
Acer Aspire 5920G: Good laptop all things considered
17 January 2010
Summary: Fantastic laptop for someone who wants to do relatively basic tasks. It looks stylish with the white keyboard and shiny black back. It also has one touch commands for email, bluetooth, and wireless internet. The specification is very good for some of the prices about now for them, but the battery life is very poor. Mine says its got 15minutes left and will then turn off after another 5?
Acer Aspire 5920G: A mixed bag with annoying faults ruining a good set up.
1 November 2009
Summary: Anyone wanting a powerful laptop for a decent price ideal for web-browsing, data storage, work and multimedia functions could do a lot worse than the Acer 5920. It is nippy even when running a range of demanding applications and doesn't suffer from overheating as much as some laptops can. However not everything about this laptop is a success, and there are some drawbacks ranging from the pedantic to some more serious in nature.
Pros: Good hardware, powerful, fairly straight-forward to use
Cons: Annoying features, bad design, some reliability issues
Excerpt: "I I bought this laptop for my university. Even though this laptop is ugly but it is good buy for that amount of money. The design of this product is awful, all plastic. I used to get embraced when I used to takeout this laptop out in the university library. If it is left on the table switched off, it looks like a dummy display model. It also is too bulky and used to take most of the space in my back pack. But the design makes it a durable laptop. On ...
Decent inexpensive system. Great for casual surfers
24 June 2009
Excerpt: "This system is quitetypical of Acer. It is fairly inexpensive and but serves the purpose for most people looking for a computer that won't take up a bunch of room in their homes. It comes with enough horsepower to serve up web pages and e-mail in a timely fashion but lacks the necessary performance for todays gaming experience. As a tech I have used these systems before and they work great for surfing and checking mail. Also great for University ...

Excerpt: "Generally a very good laptop offering superb value for money. Is able to cope with numerous tasks well without slowing or freezing. The NVIDIA GeForce Graphics card makes the laptop a great value gaming laptop. Includes a built-in webcam and microphone, great for chatting online with friends. However, I have had a problem with a flickering screen when opened at certain angles, and the laptop is heavy, so it probably isn't the most practical ...
Pros: Great value for money, NVIDIA GeForce graphics, built - in webcam and mic
Summary: My old laptop died and I needed a new one. I searched through Amazon and the usual online shops and decided on this one. The 2 gig RAM is enough for you to run several large aps at once, such as media player, dreamweaver, msn, IE all at the same time. The webcam is brilliant, my friends can see me on skype full screen almost perfectly!! The 160GB storage comes with only about 130GB for you to use, the rest is used for hibernation storage and if you wish to reformat.
