The Acer Timeline 5810 is outstanding!

Excerpt: The Acer Timeline 5810 is the best computer I have owned yet. I received the laptop as a birthday gift and I must say it was definitely well spent money. It has a lot of extras on it I never thought could be possible! I love the keyboard because it's not the standard one, it has the 103-key keyboard, inverted T cursor layout, independent standard numeric keypad, hotkey controls, international language support.
Excerpt: i got my acer notebook for my birthday this year and i am addicted now. because acer is set up with everything, such as; virus protection and etc., i have gone from a computer illiterate to a computer whiz, well, i'm exagerating a little, but, since the acer is so easy to use, i am getting very knowledgeable about computers, the internet, how to send e-mails and i have even joined facebook.
Summary: If you are looking for a desktop replacement, or a laptop to even consider gaming don't get this one. However, if you are a student looking for a great laptop to go class to class using Office products and a web browser, you are looking at the perfect laptop! I have never gotten the 8+hrs it claims in the battery, but an average of 7hrs is pretty normal(wifi off, ~6hrs wifi on).
Summary: I was looking far a laptop that would give me a quicker response than my Compaq with 1GB of ram. I was told that Windows 7 needed at least a 3GB to operate correctly and this laptop does it all. It also has the Crystal eye camera built in and my old DELL and Compaq had problems receiving the house wireless signal from one end of the house to the other. This computer not only received the signal strong but continues to operate at real-time speed.
Summary: I purchased this laptop about a week ago. Spent 2 days making sure the battery was properly cycled (draining/charging). I must say, its an incredible machine. Not cheap in any sense of the word, other than price. I really am amazed at just how snappy and responsive it is considering the cpu speed. Some laptops just feel like toys, this one doesnt. I am getting 8 + hours of battery life out of it on power saver mode.
Summary: It look great. It has best sound for laptop that I owned(10?) Great battery life. Same resolution as 720p TV so you can have dual monitor with same resolution. Cons: Not really acer's fault, but vista is bloated and eat up processing. Norton is really junk too. Acer loads tons of games which cannot be unloaded with one command (probably to discourages business buyers from buying home laptop).
Summary: First off, let me start by saying this computer is excellent and RCS Electronics (I believe was the company name) is a great storefront here on Amazon. My old Acer (which I loved) finally died of natural causes (the motherboard failed) in the middle of April which was a bad thing because it was just as I was getting toward the end of the semester all all my term papers were coming due.
Summary: Excellent Purchase ~ No Buyer's Remorse here . . . At first I wasn't sure about the SU4100 CPU & 64 Bit Windows~7 Operating System, but both have proven to handle everything I need to do including my MagicJack VoIP System. I really like the 8+ hours of Battery Duration on this Model Acer.
Excerpt: I got this laptop just 4 days ago but could not be happier with it. To begin with it's a very attractive laptop to look at and admire (i do a lot of looking and admiring). Less than an inch thin and light. A lovely grey/charcoal matt finish. It's a pleasure to hold. Well equiped...
This is not an Acer..it can't be. Acer stopped making quality laptops a long time ago!

Summary: I've had my Acer Aspire 5810TZ (Timeline Series) for about 2-3 months now. Honestly, I was on a budget so I couldn't go for an XPS or a Vaio. Ultimately, I love almost EVERYTHING about this laptop. I know it's been outside of its box not too long ago but so far it's been great! The only downside is that the keyboard is a DUST MAGNET! Everything else is solid; only the optic drive and the chicklet-style keyboard seems a bit flimsy. Hardware-wise, it's amazing!
