Summary: I loved this computer, but it only lasted me a little over a year. I am a high school student so I needed one mostly for school work and online browsing. It ran really smoothly and quickly, I had multiple Sims games downloaded and it never crashed (like some laptops do). I of course dropped it a few times, it was in and out of my bag pack and locker and falling out of my arms sometimes. It probably survived multiple two or three foot drops.
Summary: Over all, its okay.... battery did not last long as it says it supposed to, the part that I REALLY HATE THE MOST is the power button where it is located.. Everytime i move the screen back & fort, i always touch and accidentally press the button which most of the time I lost the documents im working on..
Excerpt: A great laptop, but a bit overpriced. This was purchased as a replacement through an extended warranty plan from a store. Not as good as the original Dell it replaced, but 6 months later, its hard to find an exact match of what you had for the same price. It does what it needs to do, but the memory isn't as big and performance is a bit slower. Its as easy to use as any other standard Windows run laptop.
Summary: I bought a new computer thinking it wouldn't have any issues, but apparently acer has issues with windows 7 and there isn't a fix yet. Why would acer continue to put out a product knowing it still has problems. There support services said it is in the process of fixing it but doesn't have a timeframe, but they will email me. Not too impressed yet.
Excerpt: I bought this laptop a year ago after my old Acer laptop had run its course. I went for this laptop, not just because I like this brand, but also due to its low price and the fact that it's lightweight. As a student I needed a laptop that was easy to carry around with a reasonably long battery life. This laptop is just that, I use it mostly for university work and it is quick to start up and load programmes.
Summary: This laptop is a reasonable laptop with very good price but the main fault of this laptop is while playing high end graphics game like fallout 3, assassin creed, etc cpu temperature hits up to 90c, so to control this massive heat one can buy a good cooling pad and use ThrottleStop software and disable turboBoost to decrease a heat generation but be careful at using throttleStop software as it changes cpu settings so don't mess up with other things until unless you know...
Pros: very good performance, good battery back (on customized power saver plans)
Cons: screen(too much reflections not ideal for outdoor use), touchpad, extreme heat up to 90c
Summary: Super Ausstattung. Probleme : Software des Bluray abgelaufen (Kauf doch eine Lizenz..), dann nach 5 Jahren der technische K.O. (wie auch beim ersten 17" Acer Notebook): Grafikchip defekt. That's life? Wirtschaftlicher Totalschaden. Möglicherweise auch bei anderen Herstellern? Egal, bis dahin hat das Gerät ausgezeichnet funktioniert.
