Summary: I recommended and purchased this for a friend. It worked for a little or a year and then started having hang problems. Acer is aware of the problem but the only information you get is to ship it in for repairs. I suspect its a hard disc problem that can be easily fixed for about $60 rather than the $200 Acer will charge. This same thing has recently happened to by son-in-laws 5750, which I also recommend. Acer use to make a good product at a reasonable price.
Summary: Worked well for first 90 days. On day 91 it kept losing internet connectivity as I use wireless. Chat person was nice and we tried many fixes to no avail. They had me send it back to Texas. The tech did nothing. Said it worked and mailed it back. It worked for about a month and now here it goes again with the same problem. Acer is the WORST! I own a Samsung (my husband uses it) and now just bought a Dell Inspirion, we had one before and it was great.

Summary: I can't believe in this day and age that such a shoddy laptop could be sold. I've barely had my Aspire over a year and the Motherboard is fired, with no support offered from Acer. In searching online, I found that this is a common problem with ALL Acer laptops. Also, the audio jack port just fell apart within the first couple months and thus I could not even use headphones with the laptop. Don't waste your money on Acer laptops.
Summary: The product is terrible. Hours on the telephone with foreign customer service with terrible and difficult to understand English. Have to reboot the modem every time I want to get on the internet. Had to restore the computer so that I could run programs on the second day after arrival. Do not buy this product. The only thing good was that it was shipped timely and received timely. I WILL BE RETURNING THIS PRODUCT TO THE SELLER!!
Summary: Loved it until it failed in the second week. But then it was a refurb, a point I somehow missed; you take your chances. While it worked, it was wonderful. And a caveat: quitting unexpectedly and endless unilateral cycling on and off have been described as OS problems (though this was Windows 7, and should be past that; seems to be common with Windows 8, which I won't buy).
Summary: I received this te beginning of December but it was a Christmas present for my daughter. She opened it Christmas morning she was very happy but 3 days later we had a disk drive error on the hard drive and could not recover. I returned this machine and got a refund no issues and purchased a Dell with the desired graphics card.
Summary: I would like warn all customers and advise not to purchase laptops or computers from Amamzon. The laptop that I bought had no protection around it, no bubble wraps, it was just box in a box. Summary: Keyboard broke. Space bar sometimes works, but sometimes does not. Should be no problem, right? Dell generally sends me a new keyboard, and I take a few screws out, replace keyboard, and sometimes Dell wants me to ship old keyboard back. My old boss, who was not at all tech savie, was comfortable replacing a keyboard in his laptop. There's a big problem!
