Summary: This last two years I've had this laptop have exceeded my expectations but I'm not surprised, I have a good past with Acer computers. I have a desktop as well. I have noticed its gotten slower but probably from my own use. I use this daily and it's almost always on. 75% of the time plugged in. I can still unplug it and get 2 1/2-3 hours of use on battery saver mode (always been this way). It can handle a lot at once but it's not a high end gaming laptop.
Summary: Using it right now to post this review. I've had it for about 2 weeks. It's quick, the screen is huge and it functions perfectly. No complaints and it was shipped promptly. Thanks! Update: After using it for a while, it's still holding up great. It is frustrating to use it at times because if you're a multitasker like myself, the laptop gets really bogged down. Really only recommend this laptop for light users. Won't run videos or programs like Photoshop well at all.
Summary: i only use my laptop for email and other internet services and i usually over buy.. buying to much computer for my use. this time i bought a brand(acer) that i might have avoided before. as i would have gone for a brand like dell or maybe even apple..but i am happy that i didnt over spend this time and find that this laptop works very well for my needs..
Not the specs listed, but still a decent laptop for the price. I love it.

Summary: I did love that it came in the mail a bit faster than expected. However, my only problem is that the computer doesn't have 320GB memory like it advertises. It's just under 300 and you have around 250gb of free space. (Not to bad but upset me. The laptop runs smoothly. There's no lagging. I can run skype and game at the same time. I do think it's a little weird that the keyboard is smooshed to one side so that there is a number pad to the right but you get used to it..
Summary: I bought this computer because it has a lot of power for the money. My experience so far bears this out it is a strong machine. It is missing things like a cap lock light, drive lights etc but kind of expected in this price range. So far I think it is a very good computer especially for the money!
Summary: I have this computer as a better typewriter. I don't do anything fancy with it, but it's fast, it's quiet and with the basic freeware such as OpenOffice, GIMP, VLC media Player and Firefox, it does the job. For work I do work with a crystallography program on it and it copes even with large modelling processes. Sadly the speakers don't have the quality I expected. They sound a bit tinny. The number pad is very convenient. I cannot really complain.
Decent Laptop (Notebook) would recommend for Students.

Excerpt: "...smashed, so I bought this Acer 5733 (i3 Intel Core, 15.6", HD, LED, LCD, 500 GB Hardrive, 3 GB Ram, DVD drived, 6-Cell Li-ion battery). Appearance It has a small printed diagonal lines which gives it a different effect to that of a normal one colour simple layer Laptops. It is not the most stylish Laptop that I have had but is nice and formal looking. It is 2.6 Kgs and even feels less heavier when you actually hold it, which I feel is a bonus as, ...
Pros: Light in weight, Cheap cost, Smooth in processing
Cons: Keys fell off, Says charger is not compatible .
Summary: I don't like having the number section to the side of the QUERTY bit, but since this seems to come with all computers these days, this is a nice computer. I am not a techy (but am assured by a techy that this is a good computer for its price), but my only personal downside is I am not keen on the keys. A bit flat or something and I miss.
Summary: The Acer Aspire 5733 is exactly what you'd expect from it. A great laptop, that can do everything a computer needs to. Although I was a little disappointed when I learned it had no Bluetooth nor a HDMI port. Never on the product description is it said that it has those features, but I just presumed they where standard nowadays. That's why I'm only giving it 4 stars.
