Summary: The laptop has a really beautiful screen, great color. The speed is also fine, and the price was good. However, after 7 months, my first problem with it is the keyboard. Perhaps it's because the number keys are on the right, so the rest are smaller, but I regularly hit the wrong keys. If I always had, no big thing, but not so. Also the touch is difficult, sometimes having to go back and press hard - really slows me down.
Summary: Second hard drive failure since purchased new in Dec 2011. Love it otherwise, but retuning it every three months (and it takes about three weeks to get it back) is quite annoying. Then the tech service people - English is not the first language. Very helpful having them spell words so I can understand what they are saying (NOT). So at this rate I will have use of it for nine out of every twelve months. YAY!! Finally fourth person I spoke to was a "high level" tech.
Summary: Nice sleek look, easy to navigate, windows tend to freeze or become unresponsive quite easily, battery life less than stipulate 5hrs. Purchased for tertiary studies, so it's getting the job done.
Summary: This reconditioned laptop is was like new. Runs fine, not very fast but not very slow either. Got only two LED indicators (one for power plug and another for ON/OFF) so you don't know if wireless is on or off, or system is busy reading/writing hard drive or just frozen. No HDMI socket.
Summary: This is a reasonably fast computer with a decent display. As with other Acer laptops, there are two things to watch out for: - The spacing on the keyboard is somewhat tighter than on HP and Dell laptops; it can be hard to adjust to this. - Sound recordings, whether made using the internal microphone or an external microphone, are horribly distorted. Curiously, this is true even if the recording level is set quite low.
good computer if you can bear the noise of the fan

Summary: I bought it from MicroCenter. This is a really cheap computer. The speed seems to be good. The biggest problem I have is the noise from its fan which is periodically on-and-off. It makes you wonder when the fan (thus noise) will come back again once it is off. This can get very annoying. Acer seems to have a problem handling this issue. I worked with an older model several years ago, it had a noisy fan on all the time.
Summary: This computer has only 1 memory slot total which means to upgrade you must remove the 4 gigs it comes with and replace with 8 gig stick. Check the price for an 8 gig stick if you think you might want to upgrade. Google Acer Aspire AS5733-6437 and go to acer site and check for yourself. [...
