Summary: Its a so so laptop with basic functions but when you try to use high processing applications it does not function well. The graphics on videos tend to suffer or lag. Gaming is impossible on high setting and is still laggy for low settings. There is no wonder why the price dropped nearly $500 in just a couple short years.
A good laptop if it didn't turn itself off all the time

Summary: I've had this laptop almost two years. It runs well and is a very good laptop, apart from one thing. Ever since I first turned it on, it turns itself off for no apparent reason. It is not over-heating and seems to be an electrical error. I have sent it back to acer numerous times for repair. Though they return it within a week, it is never fixed, and once it took them 2 months to return the power charging cable to me.
Summary: bought two acers at same time...mouse keeps jumping all the time on both of them....you put the curser on something and when you go to click..it has moved...so annoying...this happens on both of them...not happy with keyboard...i am a touch typist but keep missing keys...doesn't happen on other pc's...this pc has been faulty for a while and just sent it back today...just lights up then goes off with a clicking sound...hope acer make a good repair on it..
Summary: I bought this laptop after reading the reviews on amazon. The laptop performance in itself is pretty good, however my biggest grudge is the keyboard. This is the worst keyboard I have used on a laptop (I have owned and used laptops for years) and considering you use the keyboard every time you switch it on its a big flaw. There is no feel between the individual keys as they are completely flat with no grooving on the keys which makes it difficult when typing.
Summary: I was very happy with this laptop when I first got it eight months ago. I agree with the other reviewers who said it is an excellent laptop for this price. It is very quiet and fast. However, for the past four months, the laptop screen has a bad case of the flickers. Adjusting the screen angle will make it go away, for a while, but it always comes back.
Summary: As the title says: I needed an inexpensive work laptop and chose this. It behaved itself well enough until today, when it refused to boot. It looks like a hard drive failure, but even so, not great for 3 month's light use. I hope that this isn't a case of getting what you pay for.
Summary: I've bought 2 of the cheaper Acer laptops before, and both have done the job fine, one was blown up by lightening, the other is still going strong after 3 years. But I felt uneasy about this one from the start. I felt uneasy with only having one drive on, and the 750 GB hard drive is really only 680 GB. There's probably a technical explanation for the missing GB, and one drive may be a good operating alternative.

Summary: I bought this laptop to replace a now obsolete Presario CQ61 which succumbed to a glass of red wine! PROs: It's a significant leap forward with twice the RAM, twice the processor power and almost twice the HDD capacity. The sound card output is much better. Screen brightness & sound volume and many other functions are controlled using the Function key/cursor keys etc combinations with where necessary an on-screen sound level or other indicator.
