Summary: I have owned this laptop for a couple of years and like it quite a bit. Bought it on a Black Friday special for thr33 hundr3d. To be clear, bought it because it was the least expensive way to get an i5 processor, which I need for building mobile apps in Eclipse & XCode, etc. Easy access to upgrade the memory (8GB) and HD (256 GB SSD). Keyboard and screen are external so don't care: they are OK.. VGA video interface is fine for development.
Summary: This last two years I've had this laptop have exceeded my expectations but I'm not surprised, I have a good past with Acer computers. I have a desktop as well. I have noticed its gotten slower but probably from my own use. I use this daily and it's almost always on. 75% of the time plugged in. I can still unplug it and get 2 1/2-3 hours of use on battery saver mode (always been this way). It can handle a lot at once but it's not a high end gaming laptop.
Summary: This is a great laptop, and perfect for all my needs. Like advertised, the laptop came practically new, and I have had absolutely no problems with it. In fact, I have ended up using it more than my desktop, which I have packed away. This has become my primary computer, and it stands the heavy use and transportation very well. The battery is not very good, and it's a little heavy for my slight frame, but the speed is good, the memory excellent, and it runs like clockwork.
Summary: Pro: Laptop was advertised as an Intel Core i3 processor but when you check the properties on the computer it shows it actually has the Intel Core i5 CPU M560 @ 2.67GHz. I think there must have been an issue with the i3 so later models of the AS5733 were upgraded serupticiously. If they advertised it as an i5 they would have had to ask for more $$ so as not to cheapen the laptops with the i5 as advertised. So it was an even better deal than expected.
Summary: Using it right now to post this review. I've had it for about 2 weeks. It's quick, the screen is huge and it functions perfectly. No complaints and it was shipped promptly. Thanks! Update: After using it for a while, it's still holding up great. It is frustrating to use it at times because if you're a multitasker like myself, the laptop gets really bogged down. Really only recommend this laptop for light users. Won't run videos or programs like Photoshop well at all.
Summary: I've only been using it a few days now, but it works very good. Fast set-up, connected to internet fast, not much bloatware, looks nice, too. Good value for the money. I imagine you could use it for work, but I just use it for emails, news, light websurfing, and buying things on amazon :-) I'd recommend this computer to a friend or colleague.
