Excerpt: I think this is a good computer for the price. It has a decent size screen and functions well for the everyday user. Might need more space for those who download a lot, but it is perfect for playing on-line games and e-mail, etc. The only real trouble I have had is with the power supply cord. Since it is in the back, it has pulled out or fell out several times, resulting in a problem where it plugs in there.
The Acer laptop good, but I don't like the fingerprint reader.

Excerpt: My opinion on the Acer TravelMate 5720 is that the fingerprint reader is slightly touchy. If you accidentally bump it while you are using the mousepad our typing it moves your cursor up to the top left corner and the finger print pops up. Then you have to wait for it to go away before you can resume what you were previously doing. All in all the Acer TravelMate 5720 is a great laptop to use, but it is a little heavy. Other than that it isn't too bad.
Excerpt: I was low on funds and desperater for a laptop when my old Dell died. I do webpages for non-profit groups, and was in the middle of designing when it finally bit the dust. I also had very little money to spend out of pocket right away, so I searched for a laptop that was under $400, had lots of memory and wanted to use it for playing games and entertainment as well. Along came this Acer. I've had it for 2 yrs now, and I do like it.
Excerpt: I have owned laptops made by Compaq, Toshiba, HP, and others. So far, the Acer Aspire that I've been using for the past year beats the others hands down. The Compaq was the last laptop I'd used prior to Acer, and even tho it had powerful system specs, it was very slow. The Acer loads programs as they should be loaded only taking a few seconds for things to happen.
Excerpt: "... When I first heard about Acer I must admit I was a bit sceptical at first, not really familiar with their products but then, being forced by the fact that my desktop has "passed away", I decided to risk and buy this Acer Aspire 5720 online. The only thing that, for some crazy reason I forgot to check is the operating system. Don`t get me wrong, I have nothing against any other operation systems, but I just prefer Xp. And it came to my attention ...
Excerpt: "...to purchase after having an Acer desktop which proved to be a decent purchase. The laptop itself is rather bulky and heavy but this does not affect me as i do not usually take it out with me but am using it whilst at university. Apart from this it does look good with a sleek black finish and it has sustained no damage despite a few knocks so it has a bit of durability about it. The laptop takes only a minute or two to load up windows and it has fairly ...
Pros: Decent memory, easy to use and setup, decent speed
Cons: No webcam built in, Lack of extra features, rather heavy and big
Excerpt: "...like PhotoShop, without crashing. The Acer Aspire 5720 has a a widescreen TFT monitor, which is very bright and sharp and perfect for viewing movies or looking at photos - something that is very easy to do in Windows Vista Home Premium. Although there are people that say they don't like Vista, but I personally find it quite good. It has a good graphical interface and is relatively easy to use. Having said that, I do find XP is a bit better, although ...
Pros: Good looking and reasonably fast
Cons: Poor batterly life and lots of rubbish programs pre - installed
Summary: The laptop was purchased from Avides media in Germany and arrived in three days. Sadly it soon became aparent that the item had a serious hardware fault on it. After contacting Avides I had nothing but first rate support. They arranged and paid for the item to be picked up and returned to them for testing. Two days later they e-mailed me to say that they agreed that the item was faulty but they didn't have a direct replacement.

Excerpt: if you looking for a laptop that has no illusions of grandure and you dont want to be running massive games this is the one for you. there are loads of laptops in this price range but in my opinion this is one of the best,it looks good and is very simple to use. there are however two drawbacks, the laptop its self is rather heavy and the touch pad is a bit on the sensitive side. other than that i would give it a 8 out of 10.
