Excerpt: I was low on funds and desperater for a laptop when my old Dell died. I do webpages for non-profit groups, and was in the middle of designing when it finally bit the dust. I also had very little money to spend out of pocket right away, so I searched for a laptop that was under $400, had lots of memory and wanted to use it for playing games and entertainment as well. Along came this Acer. I've had it for 2 yrs now, and I do like it.
Excerpt: I have owned laptops made by Compaq, Toshiba, HP, and others. So far, the Acer Aspire that I've been using for the past year beats the others hands down. The Compaq was the last laptop I'd used prior to Acer, and even tho it had powerful system specs, it was very slow. The Acer loads programs as they should be loaded only taking a few seconds for things to happen.
Excerpt: I think this is a good computer for the price. It has a decent size screen and functions well for the everyday user. Might need more space for those who download a lot, but it is perfect for playing on-line games and e-mail, etc. The only real trouble I have had is with the power supply cord. Since it is in the back, it has pulled out or fell out several times, resulting in a problem where it plugs in there. It bent the inside of the hole and I had to have it fixed...
The Acer laptop good, but I don't like the fingerprint reader.
9 September 2012
Excerpt: My opinion on the Acer TravelMate 5720 is that the fingerprint reader is slightly touchy. If you accidentally bump it while you are using the mousepad our typing it moves your cursor up to the top left corner and the finger print pops up. Then you have to wait for it to go away before you can resume what you were previously doing. All in all the Acer TravelMate 5720 is a great laptop to use, but it is a little heavy. Other than that it isn't too bad.
Acer Aspire 5720: GREAT LAPTOP, ESPECIALLY FOR SOMEBODY ON A BUDGET!!!
6 June 2011
Summary: I bought this laptop for my University studies because I was on a low budget and needed to find something that suited my requirements. I also needed something that was going to respond well to plenty of use over the course of the years to come and also something that had an adequate screen and ran very smoothly. This was perfect because it had just that it was very fast and was at an affordable price range.
Pros: LOUD VOLUME, 4 USB PORTS, QUALITY SCREEN!!!
Cons: THE LAPTOP CHARGER WIRE WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH IN LENGTH!!! CHARGING TIME COULD BE LONGER!!!
Summary: I will start by giving you a run down of the spec of this laptop before giving my opinion of it after 2 or so years usage. The laptop has an Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, 2.20GHz, 15.4" TFT-LCD screen (Thin film transistor-Liquid crystal display), 2048MB RAM, 80GB Hard-drive, DVD±RW, Intel GraphicsX3100, Dolby Digital Live surround sound, WiFi, and Vista Home Premium .
Excerpt: "... When I first heard about Acer I must admit I was a bit sceptical at first, not really familiar with their products but then, being forced by the fact that my desktop has "passed away", I decided to risk and buy this Acer Aspire 5720 online. The only thing that, for some crazy reason I forgot to check is the operating system. Don`t get me wrong, I have nothing against any other operation systems, but I just prefer Xp. And it came to my attention ...
Summary: I have owned this laptop for just over 2 years, and the price has come down significantly since then. I won't bore you with specifications, sicce you probably have already researched them somewhat, if you're looking at buying this laptop . The first thing I noticed when I bought the laptop was how large it was. We've always had Acer or HP laptops and this is noticably larger than any we've had before.
Summary: I've always been a fan of Acer and have had a few of them over the years. My original Acer had a version of Linux on it and was incredibly prone to crashing and pretty much dying on me. So much so that whenever I took it out to work I always had my system retore USB with me! It then died completyly and upon returning it to where I bought it they gave me a shiny new Acer Aspire 5720 with Windows XP on it. I love the Acer Aspire 5720 that they gave me.
Pros: Good lightweight laptop, Windows XP included
Summary: the Aspire 5720 functions well and much better then my old one, the battery life is a huge improvement on the old computer as are the graphics allowing me to get away with playing non laptop games to the same if not better quality as on the designated computer. The huge ram and hard drive are all highly improved thus making games easier to play, this also allows me to make the most of the laptop and do all those little things which need doing all at the same time, the...
