Range of laptops let down by atrocious cheapo keyboard

Summary: Acer Aspire range have a high-ish spec on paper, and the screen is fine, but alongside the very easily scratched piano-black type cases, one is cursed with the very worst component, the lamentable rubbery totally flat keyboard. Cheap, flimsy rubbish; mine failed, and now I'm on my THIRD. Keys fly off (literally) and stick, making it necessary to hit them hard to work. It has a terribly poor flat design allowing dust to accumulate under keys, and typing on it is a pain.
Summary: Bought Oct 09, Hard drive had to be replaced after 8 months, after 13 months - all guarantees out - another blank screen, and no response from F8 - dead, dead, Will have to go back to reliable Dell.
Summary: Chose this as high specification for HDD and memory. 11 months on ithas bee returned 5 times including not working twice and keys failing so keyboard replaced. It is not wireless configured and I lost it when it a virus invaded although covered with Norton! Have to ring techies again to reconfigure. Not robust even for occasional use and will not use Acer again.
Summary: Have to review Acer (not this laptop exactly) Sound went funny on mine so I sent it back a few days after coming back the sound went again. Want to complain? Want to send an email? No chance. Don't buy Acer they are rubbish and poorly built. My old Dell is 10 times better. You've been warned.
Summary: I bought this computer in rush as my old computer died. Was very disappointed when I got it to find that the Fan on it runs continuously and never turns off... even when there are no applications running. And to make matters worse the Fan is very noisey. It would drive me crazy to try and work all day with a computer that makes so much noise without stopping. I brought this computer back and changed it to a different Brand and I'm really glad I did.
Summary: You get what you pay for with this laptop. On paper this computer has the best spec on the market for £330, but be warned; terrible battery life - less than 2 hours, awful sound quality and most importantly, processing is more sluggish than my 5 year old desk top. On the plus side, the screen is great and you get plenty of hard drive space for your money.
