Summary: After having 6 chargers all burned out and now the screen burned out my daughter and I are very dissapointed with Acer. Service is awful All the other family members have Dell laptops and that is how it will stay. I cannot recommend Acer to anyone.
Summary: As others have said, I was drawn to this product because of a combination of good specs, glowing reviews and the price tag. The adage of if it sounds too good to be true it probably is comes to mind. I've had it for about 10 months and the computer is awfully slow, despite a huge memory and hardly anything being loaded on to it.
Summary: I bought this computer in January for my son on his birthday, it has crashed 4 times and has been restored o factory settings 9 times, yet it still does it,it has been sent to acer twice and all they say is restore it back to factory settings, DO NOT ACER! They can't make computers and the computers that they make are $h!t, especially this model!

Summary: I looked at the reviews online for this one before buying - especially important as we are currently working in Spain so we wanted to get the right laptop with minimum hassle. Certainly it all looked great, at a very good price. Got the laptop on the Thursday. Looked lovely and shiny in box. Immediate problem with playing DVDs in that Windows Media Player would not play sound from the DVD player, but got round that using the Acer built in entertainment suite.
Summary: This has got to be one of the worst laptops I've ever used, the keyboard is dreadful, the touchpad is far too big which means one of your other fingers is usually resting on it interferring with the correct operation of the primary finger, the battery life is laughable, and the sound is far too quiet at full volume. All in all a big zero out of ten, forced to give it one star by the amazon review process. Would like to give it minus five stars.
Summary: This machine was eventually returned to Amazon for a full refund as it had a faulty hard drive and wouldn't successfully open. It is impossible to contact the Acer technical helpline and for that reason I would never buy another Acer
