Summary: got mine from a catalog, for $299 3 years ago, its reaching 4 years next month i think, and still working perfectly. hard drive is still strong this laptop is really good, for advanced users and new users. what you can do with this laptop is a lot you can install 64bit or 32bit operating systems. before you can install 64bit, you need to go into bios and change it for 64bit compatibility mode Video encoding on these spec is 1.5gb mkv to mp4 takes about 3 to 4 hours.
Summary: Had myne for 3years and 4 month now. NOTHING at all have ever gone wrong. college recently gave me a copy of windws 7 pro which i put on and works a treat. the only hardware based thing i have done is a RAM upgrade of 1GB to 2GB it runs so much better with it in.
Summary: I got this 2 years ago and it still looks new and runs great I did upgrade it to windows 7, because I did not like vista but with vista it does still work fine. It runs fast and I must say better with windows 7 but vista still works. It might be cheap but its grat vaule for money and looks like it cost more.
I have been delighted with this laptop and would recommend to all.

Excerpt: I have owned an Acer Aspire 5315 for a couple of years now and it has never given me any problems. The model I bought came with 1gb ram (which I've since upgraded to 2gb), 1.86Ghz processor, a 80gb hard drive and X3100 graphics card. On the subject of graphics, this laptop can surprisingly play some modern games which require high specifications. For example, FIFA 2009 runs on here more or less perfectly.
