Excerpt: Although I do not like Windows Vista, I do think this computer is a generally good computer. I would like to be able to turn off the touch pad because when I type, my fingers touch the pad and the cursor jumps around. I can't find a way to disable it. There seems to be too many things on Vista for what is really needed- it takes up too much space. The speed on this computer is good.
I like the Acer since it was inexpensive & gets the job done!

Excerpt: I like my Acer Aspire laptop since it was a fairly reasonable price and I'm not a total tech savvy person, it has all the basics that I need. The only thing I didn't like was when I bought it I didn't know that if it was on for more than two hours it'd overheat and shut off. You have to buy a cooling fan. Other than that it's a good computer. Reviewer received a sample of this product.
The Acer Aspire 5315-2326 Notebook exceeds my expectations

Excerpt: This Acer Aspire 5315-2326 Notebook has met my needs for a laptop computer. I am always on-line and it hasn't failed me at all for what I use it for. I find it is wonderful for writing cd's and great for viewing movies. It has a 15.4" screen, which is great for viewing what you are doing. I do a lot of research, and the larger screen comes in handy. It doesn't have as much memory as a lot of consumers are looking for today, but it serves my needs very well.
Excerpt: We bought two Acer Aspire Laptops and one Gateway last year for Christmas. I originally got the Gateway for myself and the Acers for our teenagers thinking the Acer was for first time buyers, but I was wrong.I now use the Acer instead of the Gateway everyday. I especially enjoy its light weight and shape. This laptop is very easy to use. The key board seems to be a little bit more spread out, and the touch pad is a comfort to use.
Summary: this was a reasonable price at the time of purchase and it has stood the test of time with our granddaughter - still functioning reasonably well after several years with only a minor fault on the power input connection.
Excerpt: "...some upgrade. The only problem with Acer product is it gets too hot and it turns off instantly. Can't use it for a long span of time specially if you are in a room hout airocndition. but this laptop is good for homeuse only, for students and the like,I don't recommend this for office because of the fact that it shutdown when it gets too hot and you might loosed whatever you are working on. Customer service is not that good either because not only they ...
Summary: For somebody on a tight budget, who maybe cannot afford the best items on the market, this laptop is amazingly easy to use and a good all rounder. My laptop runs Windows Vista and seems very quick in comparison to other vista products I have used. It has a respectible battery life of approximately 3 1/2 hours which is more than enough for me.
Pros: Screen, well laid out keyboard, good battery life.
Summary: This was my first ever laptop, about three years ago, and it's still going today with both myself and my boyfriend using it all the time, and it's still pretty quick at connecting to the internet, navigating around sites and using programmes like PowerPoint and Word. I have had to wipe the hard drive once because of a computer virus, the instructions were easy to follow and the computer is as good as new.
Excerpt: "...me. I eventually purchased an Acer 5315 as the price was good. I mainly use this at home & I think that what its good for as its quite heavy. That said it seems to be robust as Its certainly had some knocks & not been treated well but it still looks good & works well. I struggled with the Vista loaded on it for a while, found it very annoying but eventually worked it out. The worse thing is that the keyboard cursor doesnt work properly. If you are ...
