Summary: I really like the Aspire. It is lightweight, compact, and easy to use. I was looking for a Windows 7 or higher machine to keep in reserve if Windows XP ever stops working. I especially like the outlet to plug in a big screen TV.
Summary: I love this netbook. it came with windows Vista, however it had a free upgrade to Windows 7. one draw back is that it comes with lots of junk installed with takes memory and about 10 Gig of hard drive. Instead of upgrade to Windows 7, I did a clean install of windows 7.
Summary: This Acer Aspire 1410 computer is perfect for us at ages 58 and 60. We had our son-in-law pick out something simple, wireless, and reasonably priced. He did an outstanding job. First of all, he went to the customer reviews...which we had never thought about.
Summary: Starts promptly, excellent screen definition makes it easier to view text and images on the small screen. Highly portable. I use this at work on battery power and get over 6hrs before even worrying about it. Seems to work just as competently as any other computer I've owned.

Summary: This "mini-laptop" has worked flawlessly from the minute I turned it on and began configuring/loading software on it. The 11.6-in. display is terrific - extremely sharp (text/graphics) and renders colors beautifully. In addition, the laptop is well made with a solid casing and a high-gloss blue lid.
Summary: Had been looking for a netbook/smaller notebook to use at school to do powerpoint presentations as well as travel with. Netbooks seemed a little too small then I saw the 11.6 notebooks. After much searching and comparing I decided on the Acer1410.
Summary: I'm usually long winded, but I hope to just hit the highlights on this item. Fantastic little ultra-portable! My daughter loves it, and I try to 'borrow' it from her often. Ultra high screen resolution (for an 11.6 inch): Full 720P!
Summary: Bought this on Thanksgiving for $299 (was one of the lucky few I suppose) and it's worth every penny. I've got a 2.5 year old Acer Extensa 14.1" and was planning on using the Aspire One as a "backup," but the Extensa has been used sparingly since this machine came.
Summary: Everything I heard in the reviews so far is what I have experienced. You want to ensure you have the configuration for the 1410-xxxx, the xxxx will determine how the specs are implemented i.e., 2 gb ram is 2/0 versus 1/1 meaning a 2 gb chip in one slot versus 1 gb chip in 2 slots.
Summary: This is an excellent machine; it was easy to set up out of the box, is light weight, and a -lot- quicker than prior (slightly smaller) netbooks I've worked with (atom powered). The 802.11n usually is holding 117 to 130 Mbps (that's good) from the living room; admittedly, only about 25 feet / one...
