Summary: When I am traveling - the backpack is loaded. The handle would be a deal breaker for me going forward. If you never have to use the New style handle - great backpack.
Pros: Great overall backpack for computers and traveling
Cons: One thing I did not notice in my first review - the rubber carrying handle on top of the backpack. It has changed from the previous version of this backpack. The previous versions had a rubber handle that was maybe 1" in diameter - comfortable to hold and carry heavy loads. The NEW handle is half...
Excerpt: I purchased the same backpack about 5 years ago. This new one has the same exact color and has almost all the same features, except in quality. I could tell as soon as I touched it that the material was a cheaper quality. Targus cut manufacturing costs and now uses a less sturdy material.
Summary: Over all not horrible if you are only going to use it a little bit, does not stand up to every day use to heavy duty laptops like the Asus or Alienwares
Pros: has a lot of compartments to keep things seperated. It is also a really light weight bag so if you are like me and have a 15 pound laptop its nice to start light.
Cons: Way to cheeply made. I bought my bag in aug 2008 and as of the end of 2009 it was starting to fall apart. The seams where the dividers meets the edges of the zippers is cheeply done and it soon frays and opens up so the top of all the compartments are open. Also as it frays the tops of it jams th...
Summary: I recently upgraded from a 15" laptop to a 17" widescreen, so my excellent Targus TSB312 (see my other review) would no longer fit. Belive it or not, I considered not buying this laptop, as I knew I would have to give up that bag!!
Pros: Fits widescreen 17" laptops; plenty of storage compartments
Cons: "Smells" out of the box!; Material not as sturdy as other bags; Too Big!
