Summary: I have owned this bag since 2004 (almost 8 years) and used it over the years extensively. I have carried two different 17" laptops (one HP and one Dell) in this bag through airports around the world. I have used this bag to bring my laptop to work everyday for about 3 years on and off since I have owned it. It is a solid, strong, classy, leather bag designed well with room for accessories and documents that has held up. It looks business like and professional.
Pros: very strong bag , classy professional leather look
Summary: Review of Targus TLE400 case: We bought an ASUS G73SW-BST6 and needed a case for it. Our main consideration was protection. Cost, within reason, was less important. The computer is a large 17" laptop, at 16-1/2" x 12-5/8" x 2-1/4," and heavy, and has a large heavy external power supply. We had a hard time finding a case large enough to hold it, and ended up looking at about a half-dozen stores.
Summary: I ordered 2 for Christmas gifts for my twin sons. They looked like smooth leather and there was no way to determine size. The leather was rough texture (not what I wanted) and they are the size of a small suitcase (not a briefcase).
Summary: I'm happy with my purchase, it arrived quickly in a good secure package. The case has no problems holding my 15 inch notebook securely along with my external hard drive, all my adapters and papers. I'm not sure how it will fit by my feet during a flight though.
Summary: I have a 17" wide-screen laptop and was having trouble finding a high quality case for my laptop. When I stumbled upon this laptop case on Amazon, I thought it looked like a steal compared to the ones I had looked at in some brick-and-mortar stores. I went ahead and ordered the case and I have to say I absolutely love it.
Summary: For those of you wondering, as I did, whether this case could carry the Dell Studio 17" computer, It will do so with no problem. The case is at least as good as any other I have used and looks good, giving fair protection with space for the charger, mouse and extra papers etc. M.
Summary: I was forced to buy this bag, in a way. I couldn't find anything else other than the Targus XL Backpack that would fit my 17" Dell Inspiron. Since I was trying to replace the XL backpack this became the only choice. The one good thing about it is my laptop fits in it. I had tried other backpacks such as various NorthFace products which advertised they could fit a 17" laptop but none really could.
