Summary: This is actually the second of these bags I have gotten. I got the first one my freshman year of college, and after four years of everyday hard use carrying all of my books and supplies and computer to and from classes, I am just now getting a new one. This bag is super durable and has a nice amount of space to hold not only my laptop but textbooks, notebooks, and other school supplies too!
A little smaller than I expected, but still will work.

Summary: Since I was buying this online and couldn't see the bag itself, it was a little smaller than I expected. I won't know until the end of August (when college classes start again) if it will meet my needs. Normally I carry my laptop (or notebooks if professors don't allow laptops) and textbooks.
Summary: It is a cheap laptop case but a good one. Seems to have plenty of padding and to be durable. It even has some structure to the sides of the case to actually protect the computer. (most cheap cases are pure soft sided cases which protect it about as well as a burlap sack.
Summary: This is my second Targus laptop bag, and I like it alot. The strap has been improved from the last bag. This strap has a sewn-in-place shoulder pad, so you do not have to worry about it sliding down off your shoulder and needing to constantly adjust it. There are a good number of pockets, although the zipper on the inside front of the bag is in a strange location in my opinion.
Summary: I don't have this exact case but I own its grandfather (for about 7 years) which contains the same dimensions and pockets and I LOVE it. I travel to client sites and am a computer system engineer (geek) and it allows me to carry everything and then some. I use it daily too. It fits in plane overheads even when I've stuffed it.
Summary: Previous reviews about this case would fit my big laptop were not assuring to me. The reviews said this model fit their 17 inch laptops. It depends on how the laptop is measured as to what this really means. My laptop has an 18.4 inch diagonal screen (the case is actually 20 inches diagonal). This is how screen sizes for TVs and computers are advertised by manufacturers. However, the left-to-right width of my laptop is 17 3/8 inches.
