Summary: is it really nylon? the straps and top handle are torn from the weight of my ASUS M70 Series M70Vm-X1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 (2.53GHz) 4GB Memory 320GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS 17.0" Windows Vista Home Premium and other items as this pack can hold a lot.
Pros: it is large enough with lots of pocket storage and a good way to protect my ASUS M70 Series M70Vm-X1 NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 (2.53GHz) 4GB Memory 320GB HDD NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS 17.0" Windows Vista Home Premium when not is use.
Cons: the nylon material breaks down tearing the straps. Nylon is supposed to be strong. I am not sure that it is really nylon, rather a cheap polyester material.
Summary: It's the only laptop bag that I would recommend.
Pros: It is durable, my son can't tear it up. It has lots of pockets/compartments. Its padded, so that if you have put heavy weight inside, it doesn't hurt your shoulders. You'd be surprised how much actual fits in it, even with a 17" laptop inside.
Cons: Newegg no longer has this item and I wish they would bring it back.
Summary: i'll have to get a new pack for the upcoming year and was only able to get one year of use out of this bag.
Pros: large backpack, can hold a lot! it also has numerous pockets and pouches.
Cons: this pack is not durable by any means. within 3 months of use for school only (several books and laptop 3days/week), the seams in the straps were ripping. after 9 months the rips have spread to both shoulder straps and the handle on top has completely ripped off. also some areas around the zipper...
Summary: I had a Swiss Gear bag before this (it was $80) and only housed 15 1/4" laptops and it didnt have nearly the amount of compartments and it was not even close to being as durable!
Pros: Fits my 12 lb. Dell XPS 1730 with ease. Has multiple compartments and is extremely comfortable to carry despite my laptop and power supply totalling a whopping 17 lbs (not including other accessories in the bag)
Cons: None...ive had it for 3 months now and it is holding up very well
Summary: The laptop compartment is located between your back and everything else you have in the bag. Because I tend to be a bit paranoid about the safety of my laptop, I don't take it with me when I have a full load of books for fear of it being crushed. Overall, I am satisfied with this backpack.
Pros: It's frigging huge! I got it to lug my 17" Gateway 6860-FX laptop around in, plus any books for college. The laptop fits snugly in the padded laptop compartment, even with the large battery sticking out the back of the machine. Sans laptop, I have been able to carry *everything* I need for my ful...
Cons: It's frigging huge. Not very stylish, I have received several comments about its size. At times it feels like I'm lugging a hiking backpack around campus. It retains most of its shape even if you take out most of its contents, so it's like wearing an empty box on your back. After about 10 months ...
Pros: It is a gr8 backpack. Build is nice... It fits in my HP HDX16t in it comfortably with a keyboard, a bunch of big books. Honestly to tell u the truth I once carried 3 laptops in there.. one in the back compartment & 2 in front[self padded]. This is crazy big ... u will know whn it arrives ..:-)
Cons: Sometimes u tend to put in lot of stuff make it heavy to make ur back pain.... but then again cant be called a con.
Summary: Got it on a combo deal with a laptop purchase, but I would have gotten it straight up knowing now how nice it is.
Pros: It's big and it's tough. Fits my huge 17" no problem, and there is tons of storage space. Plenty of pockets and pouches too, I love it. The straps are sturdy and make caryring the thing a breeze, even when fully loaded.
Cons: It's big, if you are a small framed person and fill this thing up it may be a chore to haul.
