Summary: Kensington obviously took a bad lesson from the American automotive industry. This rolling bag was perfect. Now the quality is garbage and the materials used boggle the mind. I have owned three of these and had to return this recent purchase as the product is no longer usable. Now I am stuck trying to find a decent rolling bag.
Summary: I'm a consultant and I spend quite a bit of time banging around between airplanes, rental cars and in and out of buildings. I have no less than 12 different laptop bags at home, from rollers to backpacks and over the shoulders. As you can tell, I have been searching for the right one. I recently bought this one due to the nice looking lightweight handle. Most roller bags look like roller bags. This one looks like a larger over the shoulder bag that has rollers.
Summary: I'm surprised. Surprised at a high level of quality and functionality for what I consider a very reasonable price. I had a rolling case that I'd considered pretty decent, but the handles were not sturdy enough. So I began the search for another, eventually looking at well over a dozen. I kept coming back to the Contour Roller, which seemed to offer everything that my previous case had, plus improvements in durability and ease of carry.
Summary: I glady bought this case to tote an HP ZD7000 (17") notebook. The telescopic handle eliminates drag and truly decreases the amount of energy needed to pull. I can actually pull this case with a pinky! A very comfortable, padded arm strap and ergonomic case design make carrying the case easier than any other case I have used. Storage compartments were thoughtfully designed, as well as aesthetics.
Summary: For Kensington user who has use this roller bag before, DO NOT BUY IT. Sorry, but I have to say, this "NEW DESIGN" was not the bag what you knew anymore. I can understand company need to redesign product for cost saving, but when you got the package deliver to your hand, and you feel the box like empty one - that's mean the cost saving destroy the product. First, the handle is loose and shaking.
Excerpt: I travel frequently and carry project specifications and vendor manuals for equipment so the bag is usually as full as I can pack it. Great bag, sturdy, plenty of pockets and comfortable to carry which brings me to my only complaint. I wore out the original carrying strap and the company has sent me two replacements but they are both cheaply made and don't stay on my shoulder like the original one did nor do they have the nice padding of the original.
Pros: Comfortable Strap, Good Protection, Lots Of Pockets And Features, Rugged, Stylish, Used For Pkgclothes Too, Weatherproof
Summary: I bought one of these in 2007 and it was still going strong until my new puppy decided that the zippers were irresistible and decided to chew them up. To say the least, I was not happy. That bag could have lasted another 5 years and I loved that bag. It had so many good features and was well made. Since my bag was now destroyed. I went looking for a new bag. And since I only use it to wheel into the office M-F, I didn't want to spend over $100.
Excerpt: I use this case daily to and from work and on out of town trips. This is my third Kensington Contour roller case; I use them until they wear out. Great for all the little things you like to carry along with your computer ie flash drives, files, cords etc. Last one I had, the telescope handle eventually would not stay up; we'll see how this one holds up. Great case.
Pros: Lots Of Pockets And Features, Rugged, Weatherproof
