Replaces same model with fraying cord

Excerpt: This replaces the (same model) adapter that came with my 1 1/2 year old 13" Retina MBP. The cord on that one is fraying (literally falling off the ground shield underneath - in large pieces). I'd like to think the new one has fixed this problem but I don't have high expectations.
Excerpt: I needed a spare for my MacBook Air 13" and I got the 60W instead of the 45W to future proof it. If you're using the 60W or higher (80W) MagSafe 2, it is compatible on MacBook Air. However, if you're using this 60W MagSafe 2 on MacBook Pro Retina 15", it will not charge because there is not enough power.
Excerpt: Just wanted a spare magsafe2 connector for my Retina Macbook Pro so that i didn't have to unplug the one at my desk. I like the way that Apple does the plugs on their adapters where you can plug the brick into the wall or use a longer cord.
Macbook Pro charger? More like Macbook NO charger!

Summary: Just bought this charger four months ago and it's already broken. Not to mention the fact that this was the third charger I have bought. If you're gonna make such a low quality charger then give a low quality price. C'mon apple, you're better than this.
Summary: The magnet is simply too weak. I believe all other comments point out the same problem. This is simply unacceptable - if anyone from the Apple engineering team is actually reading this comment, please consider redesigning the adapter and while you're at it, make it cheaper? Very thanks.
Summary: Time to stop dancing around the issue and just call this charger what it is--defective. I The magnet is so weak that during a normal 3 hour session using my MacBook Pro Retina it detaches several times, a problem I never experienced with the charger that attached flush to my previous MacBook. Apple needs to recall this component immediately and replace with one that doesn't have inherent design problems.
Summary: As stated above, it falls out. Constantly. Don't let the cable get even slightly tangled either. Any inevitable kink will surely sever any charging ability whatsoever. Never fear though, they are only $80.00 to replace.
Summary: This is my third time replacing the power adapter. I have wasted hundreds of dollars on this awful cord. I love my mac, but I will never buy another one because of this problem. This should be embarrassing for Apple.
