Good label printer

Mark M., Newegg

  • Pros: Very nice printed labels. Prints cable labels that won't fall off. Good variety of labels to choose from. Pretty easy to use. I have used Brady and Panduit and this ranks up there where features are concerned.
  • Cons: Keyboard is not QWERTY. I find myself having to hunt and peck for characters.

Not a bad labelmaker

  • Summary: Even though the unit won't print directly from Windows, it still has a USB transfer interface and software to create 'templates' to send to the unit. The P-Touch software has some cool capabilities and is easy to use, but I wasn't able to figure out how to send the info from the program to the...
  • Pros: Durable Unit! Should come with case, if so it has room to hold the manual & Software CD, the unit itself, several extra tape cartridges (about 6" worth) and storage for extra batteries. (takes 6 AA) The unit fits nicely in the hands and seems easy to 'type'.
  • Cons: The PT-1650 will NOT print from windows... I was very disappointed with the lack of this feature, however I don't really need it, so it's not a huge deal.

  • Summary: Still a good product. Just make sure you buy the one you need.
  • Pros: Have used the 1400 at the office for years, works great for what it is, a one up labeler.
  • Cons: I thought the USB meant it could be used as a label printer, not so! It downloads a "template", never could get that to work. Save your $ and buy the 1400 or 1600.
