Summary: If you can buy any other KVM switch, do so. This one isn't worth it at all. If I was playing a game that required a key to be held down, it would only work for a few seconds and then stop. If I was trying to ctrl-click something on the desktop it would unselect everything if I clicked too fast.
Summary: Want a product that doesn't work every few times you start up the PC? Great, cause this one means you get no mouse, no keyboard control over your PC when it fails. Which is regularly. Annoying beep can't be turned off. USB hub feature doesn't work at all.
Summary: I bought this with the intention of using it with a Mac Mini and a 2 PCs. I didn't mind the fact that it took ps2 keyboard and (optionally) ps2 mouse and converted them to USB. The Mini needs USB in, so this was great.
Summary: I bought this switch to work with my USB keyboard and mouse. It is NOT a USB KVM. You MUST have a ps2 keyboard and mouse for it to work. It converts the ps2 keyboard and mouse to USB internally, and the machines it connects to have to be USB mouse and keyboard compatible.
Summary: Excellent functionality and easy set-up. I run linux, WIN 98, WIN 2000 and WIN XP and it switches between machines without a hitch. Nice, intuitive hot key set-up in addition to a sequential button on the face of the switch.
