Works well

Marty S., Newegg
27 February 2007
  • Summary: While I understand that the form factor is annoying in regards to placing the KVM somewhere with all four ports in use, I am not sure what they could have done to change it.
  • Pros: Does just what it says it will. Switch over time is quick, no mouse lag. Outstanding KVM for the money.
  • Cons: None as of yet.

DOA (Almost)

Anonymous, Newegg
21 February 2007
  • Summary: Newegg's 30-day return policy is GREAT! This item was not available when they received my DOA, so they issued a refund and I ordered a different KVM. Newegg also gave me a shipping refund. I will most assuredly be a returning customer for Newegg.
  • Pros: No video signal loss, hot-keys worked perfectly, on the 2 ports that worked.
  • Cons: 2 of the 4 ports had a dead mouse connector, and one of the dead ports was missing a screw socket on the video connector (I save those little screw sockets with I trash something for days like this).

So so - you get what you pay for

James M., Newegg
18 February 2007
  • Pros: Cheap. Cables are good. Cool looking clear case.
  • Cons: Switching time is slower than other KVMs - expect 2-3 seconds wait every time you change PCs (my previous 2 PC KVM switch was <1 second). No power supply included but you need a power supply if using with only one computer turned on. Without the power supply with only a single computer powered on...

Perfect

Keith L., Newegg
25 January 2007
  • Summary: All in all a great product.
  • Pros: I have several computers in my room, XP, linux and Server2003 machines hooked up to it and all work great. I also repair computers a lot and i keep one port open to plug in these extra computers. I haven't had a computer yet that had problems with it. I highly recommend it.
  • Cons: as other people have said, it turns into an octopus with cables on all sides. It works for my setup well, but if ur a neat cable freak. this probably won't be good for u.

Update

Ronald F., Newegg
25 January 2007
  • Summary: Never had to open the second, backup unit I bought a year later.
  • Pros: First review in October 2003. Still in use and going great! And the price is down 20% today.
  • Cons: MS Windows, but that's life.

Works great!

Daniel D., Newegg
24 January 2007
  • Summary: I've used KVMs at work for years but they were always too expensive to get one for home. That this is so cheap and works so great is a big relief and time saver.
  • Pros: Worked perfectly straight out of the box. I have it hooked up to a desktop running XP, a laptop also running XP, and another machine running Windows Server 2003 R2. I'm even using a USB keyboard and mouse through USB/PS2 converters which I wasn't sure would work. It even worked perfectly during b...

Works Great

Anonymous, Newegg
11 January 2007
  • Summary: Can't beat the price and the way it works.
  • Pros: I am running two XP machines and a Vista Beta machine on this KVM. The total price was $xx and shipping had it my door the next day. Works great, switching between machines is smooth and fast. The fact that it came with all the cables is great. I plan on putting a server on it next.
  • Cons: Ports are all around the KVM so cables are a bit messy. But in my situation and set up it is not a major problem.

Terrible!

Liza M., Newegg
6 January 2007
  • Pros: Cheap! You get what you pay for!
  • Cons: The first one I received, one of the port 3 was not reliable, if it was the video was terrible. I send it back for replacement. Now the replacement can only handle one port at a time. I thought I was crazy, so I manually checked all 4 computers by plugging a monitor, mouse and keyboard and they w...

KVM

Anonymous, Newegg
11 December 2006
  • Summary: I wonder if they make any of these things that really work with a cordless KB/Mouse
  • Pros: Nice arrangment of cables with plenty of length. Unit has already survived several falls off the desk with no problems.
  • Cons: None
