I like it

Mark M., Newegg
9 July 2011
  • Summary: Not sure the difference in this and the model that is above this. I believe the main difference is that the other unit offers more / better encryption which isn't an issue for me.
  • Pros: 16 ports, 19 inch screen, 1u format. looks to be well built, the rollers are nice and smooth. no firmware issues as the other reviewer noted, just plugged it in and it worked.

Great KVM

Anonymous, Newegg

  • Summary: Think of this as a KVM a la carte. You can add the KVM over IP module and as many of the USB or PS/2 connectors as you want - which makes this a good choice if you want to standardize, but might not need all the bells and whistles for each of your server racks.
  • Pros: - 1U KVM w/19" Screen - Connects via normal CAT5 to either USB or PS/2 Server depending on which module you use (rather than the standard KVM cables). - Option to manage over IP (requires separate module purchase) - Built in kit for 4 post rack - Excellent manufacturer support
  • Cons: - Might have to apply a firmware patch to get it operational. - NetCommander modules can be a bit pricey.
