Works Great

JARED P., Newegg
15 December 2014
  • Summary: If you're looking for a easy way to control multiple computers with one set of peripherals, this is it. Make sure you order the KVM cables as the sexes are different than regular VGA cables.
  • Pros: Easy to hookup, worked great right out of the box, I was able to put a 4 port USB hub into the console port and use more than just 2 usb devices with the switch.
  • Cons: No cons, product worked great

Tripp-Lite KVM

Doc Hale, Office Depot
9 December 2013
  • Excerpt: This is an excellent KVM compared to Startech. The Startech KVM and the VGA splitter I bought died within a week. Both the Tripp-Lite products I bought are still running just fine.
  • Pros: value, Features, Easy to Use, Design, Performance

X-L-Ant

Jim B., Newegg
3 November 2011
  • Summary: I have been with Avocent for years but between the key sequence not working with a USB keyboard and having shared usb connections which may or may not follow the port I decided to try this one. Tripplite makes good stuff. I wanted something simple that worked. This is it!
  • Pros: I have spent more time evaluating KVMs then I want to think about. I come from Avocent. They have a comparable model for the same price (MM1) but has a major flaw in that the key sequence doesn't work with a USB keyboard. Duh! This unit is small and no frills. Just what I was looking for in a ser...
  • Cons: Minor complaint but the key sequence to switch ports is a little much. You have to hold the shift key down while typing scrl-lck, scrl-lock, port#, enter. They could have made it a little shorter and easier.

Needs Cables

David H., Newegg
28 June 2011
  • Summary: If you order this, make sure you have (or order) vga cables that are male on one end and female on the other end. The cable that connects your computer to your monitor is male on both ends.
  • Pros: Don't know yet since I can't connect it till I order another set of cables. :(
  • Cons: This does not use standard video cables. The D-sub connections are male, so you have to have a vga EXTENSION cables. If I had caught that, I absolutely would not have purchased this unit.
