User Review

Jake G., Newegg
5 February 2009
  • Pros: Bought 2, both worked as expected. I use them on my pc workbench so I can work on multiple pc's at the same time and have never had an issue in over 3 years.
  • Cons: None.

Works with G15 keyboard

Myrta A., Newegg
16 February 2008
  • Summary: wish it had dvi, but for the price, can't complain.
  • Pros: was looking for a good kvm to use with my g15 keyboard and mx518 mouse. At first I bought the TK-207 model, but that broke due to the power requirements of the G15. On the other hand, this kvm is really also a USB hub. It works great
  • Cons: Cannot use hot switching since that feature only works on ps2 keyboards. Have to press buttons on kvm.

Never worked right

Anonymous, Newegg
11 February 2008
  • Summary: Try a different brand.
  • Pros: Makes a fine paperweight. Pretty blue color.
  • Cons: Never has worked right. Poor tech support. Don't even think of using a USB keyboard and mouse.

Works well with Logitech USB devices

Anonymous, Newegg
22 October 2007
  • Summary: For the price, the "Cons" really don't matter.
  • Pros: Worked flawlessly with an MX Laser mouse and G15 keyboard. Everything worked without the need for the 9V power supply. No issues with audio/video switching.
  • Cons: The disable beep setting is misleading in the instructions. Only the beep during Autoscan can be disabled. USB 1.0 only. Hot keys don't work with USB keyboard.

A MUST BY FOR CPU USERS!!

Jesse W., Newegg
23 May 2007
  • Summary: I do computer repair and this little unit has come in handy since I am just starting out and work out of home and have setup. It allows me to just plug in the monitor cable and ps2 cables into the computer I am working on and BAM, I can switch between CPUs almost instantly. I recommend this product!
  • Pros: -Compact Design -Great for someone who has to switch between two computers. -Hot Key for Switching between computers. -Simple and Easy to Install -No power needed but is optional.
  • Cons: -Very lightweight and when cables are hooked up and its on the stand it kinda tips over. I just set on side and its fine. Not a big issue AT all compared to how big of a help this unit is.

Works Great!

Albert V., Newegg
2 March 2007
  • Summary: Just really pleased with the performance, and the price and service from Newegg.
  • Pros: Using ps2 wireless trackball, usb keyboard, new hp and 7 year old compaq. works perfect, audio, video, everything. Just the cables would have cost what Newegg charges for this unit. First experience with Newegg will be back for all other needs!
  • Cons: USB indicator lights look different color at odd angle, does not affect use or performance.

Mac users BEWARE! Others be skeptical

Anonymous, Newegg
1 February 2007
  • Summary: The spec claims this will work with Mac but unless your Mac has PS/2 connections for mouse and keyboard you’re out of luck. PS/2 to usb converters cause the thing to fail. (I tried three different types) And don’t expect TRENDnet to provide any useful support.
  • Pros: Worked OK for about two minutes
  • Cons: After two minutes it turned into a sort of roulette wheel. Push the buttons and see what happens. Sometimes it switches correctly, some times it does not switch at all, sometimes only the USB switched but the console didn’t and sometimes it just started switching back and forth on its own until I...

two purchased none worked

Anonymous, Newegg
28 January 2007
  • Summary: The specs on this and the other reviews had me encouraged but so far I've had nothin but trouble. May want to consider other alternatives
  • Pros: Newegg was quick with replacement
  • Cons: This is the second one of there that seemed to be broken right out of the box. Called TRENDnets pitiful support line and was told that just as I had with the first device, I would have to send this back for replacement. SO far the shipping alone has cost a bundle. Not to mention the toupee I'll n...

Support is lacking - Bigtime!

Anonymous, Newegg
23 January 2007
  • Summary: Bad luck so far with this product. The switch was behaving strangely out of the box. The behavior was such that I first thought that perhaps there was a set-up process or something that I was doing wrong. The TrendNet help desk was really, really NOT helpful.
  • Pros: Seemed to be malfunctioning right out of the box, so it's hard to say.
  • Cons: Support is BAD BAD BAD!!! I could have gotten this much help calling the White House and asking Goergie to look it up on The Google
