Summary: Had a Belkin Flip KVM switch for over 5 years and since it finally died decided to give this a try. It is a better product in every way that that I can judge. (Only time will tell about the durability) If you don't want to read I'll sum it up like this: It performs better doing the ONE thing KVM switches are built to do, switch between computers! Pros: 1.) Built-In HotKey Switching: Most important feature I never knew I was missing.
Works great but the windows program download link was broken.

Summary: Would have been 5 stars but the info on the windows program was extremely difficult to obtain (the link listed for it was broken, and I had to contact tech support to track the program down). The product works exactly as advertised, and I have used a different brand before (not a first time user).
Summary: I really like this product, I do not intend to use for to long I am running an windows XP computer, but since this OS is doomed to expire soon and no more updates are going to be available. I bought a new computer(yes a windows 8 OS) but I wanted to run my old system till the end and wanting to share one monitor, keyboard and mouse this solved my problem; by the way this is the one with the audio share so I also share one set of speakers.
Summary: NOTE: This is a day one review and if the product goes south I will update the review. Environment: Home Office - 1 Laptop with VGA - 1 PC with DVI/VGA Monitor, keyboard, and wireless mouse Installation: 5 minutes. Would have been quicker but I switched the Monitor back PC (switch 1): - unhook monitor, plug in KVM VGA adapter - Unplug Keyboard and Mouse, plug in KVM USB plug - Unplug Audio, plug in KVM audio 3.5mm plugs KVM Switch - Plug in Monitor to KVM Switch Out -...
Summary: I had one of these for 3 years before it stopped working. I replaced it on April 1 of 2013 (only the color was different), and it worked great for 3 months. For no reason the unit would no longer recognize the USB mouse/keyboard. It also seems to have caused some random reboots and startup issues with my PC today. The monitor and sound switching still works fine. I'm contacting Trendnet to see what their return policy is, but I've totally lost faith in this device.
Summary: If you want to use 1 Monitor with 2 Computers, this is what you need. It also combines audio cables and keyboards, so you don't need 2 different sets. The mouse attachments are USB ports, so they wont work if you have a rounded port for your mouse attachment. So I couldn't combine the 2 mouse attachments to only 1. I still love the product! and if I buy a different mouse, I'll only need 1.
Everything works great, but not as good as IOGEAR GCS72U

Summary: My Desktop has a video card that has two monitor outputs, one is VGA out and the other is DVI-I out. They are each hooked up to a monitor. I wanted to hook up this KVM switch in order to share the keyboard, mouse and one of the Monitors with my notebook. So I used the Desktop's VGA port. The switch works as it should. The notebook was able to share the VGA monitor. The notebook monitor and vga monitor can be on at the same time, it can duplicate or extend as expected.
Summary: Excellent Device!! I have a HP laptop with docking station and an HP desktop. Both have DVI and VGA connections for monitor. Both have usb connections for keyboard / mouse. This device comes with cables to connect the laptop and desktop to the device. You may need cables to connect the device to your monitors and your keyboard/mouse.
