Couldn't make it work!

Woody, TigerDirect.com

  • Summary: Never could make it work. Bought $200+ worth of cables, and still couldn't get results. Both PCs had 1 DVI and 1 VGA connector, as did both monitors. KVM had all DVI connectors. Too big a hassle to hookup. Too many DVI options!

Works well

  • Summary: Works well for me. Very nice quality. Every once in a while the button on the unit doesn't change both screens, but not a big deal and easy to resolve (push the button again). Only had it for a couple weeks, but use it several times per hour per day and I'm very satisfied. Connected to 2-24 inch monitors (DVI), laptop in docking station, workstation (one port is DisplayPort so needed adapter), wireless USB mouse keyboard combo, USB hub and 3DConnexion device.

I got a great price on it but it's too hard to setup.

  • Summary: GOOD: This KVM switch comes nicely packaged and has a compact, clean look. All cables attach to the back in sequence so it's easy to keep your cabling clean and organized. The push button on the front is visible and accessible for convenience. Indicator lights let you know (a) if something is connected to each port and (b) if that port is currently active.
