Summary: I was hoping to use this with my Windows 7 (Dell) PC and my retina MacBook Pro (2013). I do get a signal when using this as an external monitor switch on the rMBP, but max resolution was only 1024x768. I tried it via both mini DisplayPort (via DVI converter) and HDMI - no success.
Excerpt: I have two desktops that I needed to connect to one monitor and one keyboard and mouse, this did the trick, cables are very easy to connect and long enough. I am not using the audio so I can't comment on that but so far everything seems to work effortless.

Summary: I bought the GCS72U KVM which "included all cables" and was "best seller" in category with high hopes of being able to use my speakers along with the keyboard and mouse. The product description stated that the cables were 3 feet long.
