Perfect solution

LarG, B&H Photo
18 July 2013
  • Excerpt: Perfect solution for running two computers (e.g., laptop and desktop) on a single monitor, with a bonus of using one keyboard and mouse for both. Simple A-B switch with lighted indicator showing which CPU is in use. Much superior to splitter, which increases interference and cuts resolution.
  • Pros: Durable construction, Strong Connection Points, Won't Degrade Resolution

33% failure rate

Steven P., Newegg
14 March 2013
  • Pros: Useful design, works with wireless keyboad and mouse with dongle plugged in keyboard port on KVM, pretty sweet.
  • Cons: Purchased 3 of these at the same time, 1 of them failed after 93 days in service. Lights on KVM went out first, then immediately after total failure.

perfect - does the job

Craig H., Newegg
20 September 2012
  • Summary: if you want a basic 2 machine kvm, this is it. no frills, no digital display to go bad. simple click button and you switch back and forth. Cords seem to be long enough on my average size desk to get to my PC stuck underneath as well as my laptop on top.
  • Pros: simple install; reliable; easy to use
  • Cons: none

26 July 2012
  • Summary: I only use the keyboard and mouse, no video.
  • Pros: Easy to connect
  • Cons: Pressing a keyboard key will no longer 'wakeup' the computers. Need to use power button.

Good Buy!

Goat, B&H Photo
28 June 2012
  • Excerpt: I've only had it for a month, but it works exactly like it says. I have my personal laptop and work desktop plugged into the same monitor, mouse, and key board. I read some reviews about poor quality to monitor - this is probably because the user did not plug in the USB connections. It needs to draw power from USB so make sure both are plugged in to both computers.

Good for price, but causes issues

,, TigerDirect.com
25 May 2012
  • Summary: We purchased two of these KVM switches, one for IT workbench, the other for staff. We found that it randomly has an affect on different machines where it seems to overload the USB 2.0 Hub, not letting the computer recognize thumb drives or external hard drives properly. This has turned this box into a fancy monitor switcher...
