Summary: I have used multiple generations (VGA, DVI, now HDMI) versions of IOGear switches and they have been great. This unit, however, did not work for me, and it's unclear if it's a compatibility issue or if I just received a faulty unit. I used an IOGear GCS1204G DVI unit with no issue with a Microsoft Natural Keyboard and a Logitech wireless M570 trackball. Actually, I am back to using this unit now.
Excerpt: I found the IOGEAR 4 port HDMI KVMP switch to be very useful and works great with my Samsung Smart Dock! I bought it about 6 months ago and I am very happy with it. The only issue is that because it works off the usb ports for switching between devices, depending on the device, there is an occasional lag. But it never lags when I switch from or to my Samsung smart dock that I connect my Note 3 to.
Summary: Says it is HDMI 1.3 but cannot handle over 1080p resolution (should support 2560x1600 as per spec). It is not very clear that 1080p is the max resolution but some digging found it was HDMI 1.3 but does not handle 1.3's max resolution so it is really only 1.2 certified and partially 1.3.
Summary: Does exactly what I need. No issues. Solid build. Love programmable hotkey feature. Able to access attached storage on all clients via usb 2.0 port. No lag enabling keyboard/mouse when switching back and forth on PCs. You need this KVM!
Keyboard\Mouse Emulation Problems but there is a work around.

Summary: Easy setup and seems to work good. I did have a problem with my keyboard not working. I would type but no characters would actually appear. It only worked if I plugged the keyboard into the pass through usb ports on the kvm. My mouse did work in the kvm's mouse port. I fixed the keyboard by plugging it back into the keyboard port on the kvm and then ... 1.
Summary: I have to say the KVM itself works great... I like that it has some modern touches, such as HDMI and USB over PS/2 and VGA or even DVI. There are a couple of nits to pick. If you have a high-power keyboard, like a Model-M style keyboard with an adapter, you'll need a Y cable for extra power injection. You also won't be able to adapt for older systems that only have VGA.
Summary: Several months into using this switch, and I still think it's excellent. I just installed this switch today, and I am extremely impressed. In my setup I have a single external monitor flanked by two laptops, and I use extended displays on both. I also have a desktop PC which uses the external monitor as single display controlled by the switch. With my job, it's possible I'll end up with a fourth system that I will need to add.
Summary: This product has a higher build quality, and better firmware, compared to many KVM's out there, and the price reflects that. But compared to others I've tried, it is worth it. HDMI video switching is smooth and clean. On an older DVI KVM switch, I had the annoying issue of when I switched away from one port, the GPU would detect the interruption, and Windows7 would re-arrange all my windows and icons to the 2nd monitor.
Summary: This is a great product, easy to install, lots of quality cables - I wish they sold a 2 port instead of just 4 port. I bought this to replace a 2 port Trendnet KVM that was old-school VGA that would not work with my new laptop that only had HDMI. Unfortunately my work laptop (Lenovo T410) has a proprietary HDMI port so I had to buy an additional adaptor.
