Does what it's told

James H., Newegg

  • Summary: Decent product, could be better but certainly worth the money. I don't use the keyboard or mouse so I will refrain from commenting.
  • Pros: Everything works. Small form factor. Quality materials and assembly.
  • Cons: All in one cables have too short of leads on each component where they separate. This makes it hard to connect the USB, DVI, and audio cables on most laptops. The USB hub/sharing is also only 1.1. I also wish you could switch directly from #3 to #2 without having to scroll through #4 and #1 first.

  • Pros: Works with DVI.
  • Cons: Iogear says none of their switches are built for gaming; apparently this is a regular question for technical support. Enough said; it's going back to newegg. The audio also isn't worth anything.

  • Summary: KVM rocks.
  • Pros: I only have the GCS1764, not the keyboard and mouse. I like Newegg, and so to help Newegg customers thought I would offer my opionion on the kvm itself.
  • Cons: I have a gateway FPD2485W lcd and I find that I need the kvm set to the pc when booting or the display gets a little whacked out. Other than that, the kvm is awesome. I guess this could be a monitor glitch and not the kvm. Its no big deal, other than that performance is flawless.
