D-Link KVM-221 is a compact and portable 2-port USB-based KVM switch. It enables user to control two computers using a single monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Besides that, it allows user to enjoy listening to music from one system while working on another simultaneously.

The KVM-221 is compact and with built-in cables, it minimizes clutter on the desktop, making it fit into virtually any workspace. Besides that, it also features plug-and-play which allows user to add and disconnect computers with ease. Plus, it also does not require additional power supplies or accessories. It is built with audio support, allowing user to share a set of speaker system between the two computers. It is compatible with all Windows operating systems including Windows Vista. In addition, there are LED indicators that signal computer status, hot keys and push buttons for switching between computers. Furthermore, it also provides an auto scan mode which allows the device to automatically detect computers connected to the switch. It also features hot-plug capability that lets user to connect or disconnect computers by simply unplugging the cables without being required to switch off the computers first. User can use the ‘select’ button or keyboard hotkeys to switch between the two computers and perform multiple tasks. Other than that, it supports up to 2048 x 1536 resolution of monitor. There is a beep sound every time user switches between the computers. It is bus powered, thus not requiring external power adapter.
