Useless

Anonymous, Newegg
8 February 2006
  • Summary: While it looks appealling, this unit is essentially useless. The K and M parts plain don't work - only the V part. We had to return four of them and lost the restocking fee. Avoid at all costs! BTW, PS/2-based KVM switches almost all work great - use these with USB-PS/2 adapters.
  • Pros: Cheap
  • Cons: As mentioned, this unit drops keystrokes as you type. It also drops mouse clicks, which is equally annoying. My guess? Cheap controller chip inside. Also experienced problems with in becoming inactive, and locking the keyboard and/or mouse.

Incompatible, inconsistent, inexpensive, idiotic

Anonymous, Newegg
13 December 2005
  • Summary: I have gone through two of these units now, thinking that the first one was faulty. Both exhibit the following behavior: > Won't work with Intellimouse Explorer 4.0 and above > Won't work with Microsoft Natural Keyboards (the models I've tried) > Occasionally misses keystrokes altogether (about 1 in...
  • Pros: Cheap
  • Cons: Doesn't work on newer Microsoft keyboards, mice; keystrokes "stick" after about 5 minutes of typing; unit freezes and must be reset consistently; typed characters sometimes not recognized

Warning! Do NOT buy!

Anonymous, Newegg
9 October 2005
  • Summary: I bought this because I don't use a PS2 mouse or keyboard. Both Mac Mini and PC (windows xp) recognize it and the devices plugged into it. Hoever, doesn't recognize all mouse and keyboard presses. 50% of mouse clicks are missed and sometimes won't recognize any keypresses for several seconds.
