Excerpt: I like this KVM switch because it actually has a wired remote (the one I owned previously switched between computers using a keystroke combination).Another item to note is that one set of the cables is much shorter than the other, but that does not negatively affect my usage.
Excerpt: Bought this to replace an existing Cables To Go 4 port switch. Did not need 4 ports any more and though this would take up less space. Attached two laptops with the device. First thing I noticed was screen flicker on one of the ports. Just though it might be the laptop so I swiched ports. Seemed to be OK on the other laptop. Then I noticed buziing sound from monitor on the other port. Sceen movement caused sound to change. Thought it was my monitor so I ordered another.
Excerpt: This KVM Switch is awesome. I had a little difficulty purchasing this item through Staples. First I went to the local Staples store and they didn't carry it (you can't sell something if you don't have it) so then if I wanted it I had to order it on-line so I did. I had to make calls two days in a row because the item did not show up when you said it would have which was very disappointing.
Summary: Does exactly what it says, only downside is keyboard switching is not available in non-Windows operating systems. Since I only run Linux, I have to press the button.. but it's still a remote button so I can keep the switch hidden out of sight.
NO VIRTUAL KEYBOARD SOFTWARE! Perfect for Mechanical Keyboards and difficult workstation setups.

Summary: First off, I did not buy this for the video switching. At any given time I will have to use information from one screen to complete a task on the second, so switching video is not my purpose. I bought this exclusively for the peripheral compatibility. That being said this switch is great, and it is the only switch under $50 that worked with my setup. I am using two machines, a MacBook Pro, and a custom PC tower running Windows 7.
Summary: Wanted to reduce the amount of clutter in our telco closet by having our security DVR and site PC share a keyboard, mouse and monitor. This Belkin KVM made it super easy and so far it works great. The cable connections are color coded green or orange, the push button switch and LED's are color coded to match. Just plug in the USB and VGA connections, hook up your devices and you are good to go!
Summary: This switch works great for switching from one computer to another. I work from home and with this switch, it allows me to use my work laptop and my home pc with only one monitor. I would recommend using this KVM switch.
