Great

Justin B., Newegg
31 December 2009
  • Summary: I highly recommend this.
  • Pros: I love this KVM. It is everything I could ask for. Pressing the button to switch or using the keyboard is great. The cord is very long for the switch button. The cables are very sturdy and I'm not worried about breaking them.
  • Cons: The cables could be a little bit longer between the computers

Works Well

Mark F., Newegg
28 September 2009
  • Summary: My biggest concern was that I would have to use my standard D sub analog connection to my flat panel display. Prior to the KVM my laptop used the DVI connection. I thought there would be a noticeable degradation in video quality. If there is, I can't tell.
  • Pros: Nice combination, and at a fair price. Nice solution for my situation. Was able to use both a USB mouse AND keyboard by plugging both into the console USB hub connection.
  • Cons: KVM hot keys don't work at all. This may be because I have the Dell multimedia USB keyboard plugged into the console USB hub. I have not tested the theory using a standard PS2 keyboard. But, this is where the included port selector button comes in handy. Still a 5 star product. I can't discount t...

Very handy

Randy B., Newegg
8 August 2009
  • Summary: For some reason or another for my debian computer i have to use a 4 port usb hub for my microsoft wireless kb/m mouse to work. Don't need it for windows. But wired kb/m works just fine.
  • Pros: With the push of a button or hot keys it will switch computers. It is usb powered. There are options for hot keys, ScrLk or Ctrl + there preset ones. Has a hot key that will switch only sound from one to the other and same for kb/m. The port selection switch cable is about 4 feet long, makes it n...
  • Cons: If you look at the picture and notice that one cable looks shorter than the other, your right. One cable is only 24" long and the other is 46" long (reason for 3 eggs and not 5). A simple fix to this is get your self a 10 foot m-f 3.5mm sound cable (1 for sound 2 for mic), m-f usb cable, ps/2 cab...

Surprising

Benjamin C., Newegg
22 July 2009
  • Summary: When I need to add another workstation for one of our employees, I'll probably get more.
  • Pros: It works. Without a hitch, at all, even with a Logitech, using only one USB port. I'm using it to switch between the tri-monitor rig and a laptop my boss uses and it really hasn't given a single problem yet.
  • Cons: The cables could be a little more flexible/longer, but I only say that to say there is one "con."

Works Great

Uhura M., Newegg
11 May 2009
  • Summary: Connecting everything was simple and easy. Illustrated pictures come in the package, but I'm assuming anyone who knows what KMV switch is already knows a little more than how to plug in a computer. It was a little tricky for me at first because I've never used a hybrid.
  • Pros: Fast shipping. It was factory sealed and worked right out of the box. This is good for people looking for a hybrid w/audio capabilities. I used this to connect a new computer and an older model to the same keyboard, optical mouse, 14" flat screen monitor, speakers, and microphone. My OLD computer...
  • Cons: The only problems I had was getting the microphone to transfer properly between computers. I use Ventrilo for gaming and no one on the other end could hear me talk. I suspect the problem was simply a matter of adjusting sound settings hidden away somewhere in Vent or Vista's extensive sound confi...

This one works!

A. Kwabula, Amazon
10 November 2012
  • Summary: This one is more expensive than most 4 - port switches on Amazon and eBay. I found why ... it works without too much fiddling! The build quality is much better and even the documentation is better. Everything works flawlessly and toggling between PCs is as easy as 1,2,3,4,5.

Aten 2-Port Hybrid KVM Switch

Bob Elmbranch, Amazon
10 September 2011
  • Summary: I have two PCs in the same room that I need to use simultaneously - using one for long jobs like burning Lightscribe CDs and the other for email, browsing etc. The PCs both use the same connections for keyboard and mouse so I really only need one keyboard, one mouse - and one screen of course.

Aten KVM Switch

Amazon Customer, Amazon
9 September 2011
  • Summary: I purchased this product to integrate my personal deskstop ( XP ) and my company desktop ( XP Professional ) for home working. I was a little worried about likely performance having read some of the reviews on Belkin KVMs, but no worries, it works perfectly straight out of the box.

Works perfectly

LR, Amazon
8 September 2011
  • Summary: Does exactly what it says in the description and works flawlessly. The only thing you have to watch is letting a computer boot up with the kvm switched to the other port - the computer might not boot correctly if it thinks it doesn't have a monitor attached. The switch itself is great though.

Brill

Chris W, Amazon
24 August 2011
  • Summary: Well I must admit I was slightly unsure about this item at first as it was my second type of Switch, the first i bought was completely useless but i must say this is perfect. Ver easy to set up but i will say make sure you put your main PC into PC1 because i didn't and the keyboard wouldn't work but...
