Summary: From wh«t I've read in other reviews, some people had problems with their mouse. I did experience this. I have a Wireless HP combo keyboard/mouse. The mouse was only going up and down, and not left-right. I just used another old Wireless mouse (Logitech) and worked like a breeze with that mouse.
Summary: Mostly works as advertised, but: - Configuration is complicated - Doesn't work with a 1920 x 1080 monitor extending a laptop display. If I move mouse or a window to the right edge of the screen it goes black. This works fine in 1440 x 900, but defeats the point of the large monitor.
Summary: Comments about Aten CS682 DVI-D KVM Switch: This is a great KVM switch for DVI sources/monitor combination. I especially like the fast switching speed with a double-click of my trackball's scroll wheel. The video quality is excellent at 1920 x 1200 on my 24" LCD montior. Highly recommended!
Summary: I originally had a starview KVM that for some reason stopped working (I assume it had something to do with an NVIDIA update). Basically I couldnt get any EDID data going though. So after weeks of trying to get it to work, I realized it just wasn't going to happen.
Pros: Works well when going direct from DVI to DVI without any adapters (see Cons). Passes EDID and HDCP. Virtually no lag in switching. No mouse button issues like some virtual KVMs have.
Cons: If you have a weak signal this will only amplify it. I get sparkles on my display when going from a mini-display adapter from Apple on my Macbook Pro. If I go direct to the monitor I dont have any issues, but via the KVM I have sparkles/stars. If I plug in the DVI really tight I can minimize them...
