VGA Video Splitter - Works well

Lawrence W., Newegg
12 April 2013
  • Pros: Worked out of the box, less than 2 minutes to set up and place into production. Simple application of providing client and interviewer with the ability to see the same information entered/displayed on 17" VGA monitors ( 1280 x 1024, Windows 7 Pro).
  • Cons: None so far.

Buyer Beware!!!

Jeremy H., Newegg
25 August 2010
  • Summary: I purchased a CablesToGo 2-port VGA splitter, model #29550, to replace this (not offered by NewEgg). What a difference!! I used the same cables and same video settings as with the Aluratek and the CablesToGo model blew it out of the water. Do yourself a favor and buy the CablesToGo splitter for an extra $20. You'll be happy you did. I've got 2 of them and both work great.
  • Pros: It's a cheap mistake...I only wasted $35 because the 30-day return window had expired before I found out this thing is a piece of junk.
  • Cons: This product does not work as adveritsed. I used it to connect a PC to a 22" Viewsonic LCD monitor and a 32" Panasonic LCD TV. There was a major ghosting effect on both displays right from the start. The image quality was horrible.

this thing works great

Zach G., Newegg

  • Summary: this will allow me at least on my computer to run a higher resolution on my monitor and still display on my projector. The picture on my projector is not as good since it is a lower end projector. I can run full HD on my monitor and it will correct the picture on my projector, the picture is a little blurry in the fine print (small text), but this is to be expected since my projector was only designed for 800X600. I wanted if for movies and for that it works great.
  • Pros: This thing is great! It does what I need which was to split my monitor and also hook up my projector.
  • Cons: none at the moment

Great Splitter - Works Flawlessly!

Chris P., Newegg
19 June 2009
  • Summary: Although I didn't want or need a switcher, I think if it had the option of VGA port 1, 2 or both it could come in handy but I'm not complaining. Just a thought. P.S. - This took an extra day to ship because I don't think NewEgg is stocking them directly. I'm pretty sure it got dropped shipped from a distributor or the manufacturer. I have a preferred account (which automatically gives you free rushed shipping) and it didn't include it during checkout or on the invoice.
  • Pros: Great Product. Flawless Signal. No bad signals. I needed to split off my VGA that is built-in to my Intel Motherboard so not only would it send the signal to my HP 22' Widescreen LCD Monitor but also to my Vizio 46' LCD TV. I was worried because in the past I have even had the smallest issues of even using bad VGA cables (Hint: Belkin) that can caused a grainy or bad signals. Long story short, it sends the signal to both devices at the same time (no switcher or flip s...
  • Cons: None so far and let's hope it stays that way.
